father • | 'fäTHər | 1
a man in relation to his natural child or children; a man who gives care and protection to someone or something
This definition of the word ‘father’ feels incomplete, doesn’t it? Defining the role of fatherhood with its many responsibilities is difficult. In fact, there are literally hundreds of Top 10 lists attempting to define what a good father does, doesn’t do, is, and isn’t. One thing is absolutely certain about fathers. Fathers have huge influence and that influence, when used well, can truly define love and security for children and families.
The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him. PROVERBS 20:7
Thank you, fathers, for the sacrifices made, for the provision and presence invested, and for the wisdom imparted. With richly deserved love and respect, Your sons and daughters

Prayer of Confession
Gracious and loving God, we confess to You today that we can too easily see the wrongs in the lives of others and ignore our own sins. We judge others for things we ourselves do, condemning them while accepting our own behaviors. Forgive us all of our sin, and renew a right spirit within us that we may worship You in spirit and in truth. This, and the wrongs we try to overlook, we now confess to You in silence…
Milestones
Just as families keep in touch about joys and sorrows, our church family at Peachtree wants to do the same. During your prayers this week, we ask you to lift up these people to God.
