This is my Father’s world, and to my listening ears All nature sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres. This is my Father’s world, I rest me in the thought, Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas, His hand the wonders wrought.
This is my Father’s world, the birds their carols raise, The morning light, the lily white, declare their maker’s praise. This is my Father’s world, He shines in all that’s fair. In the rustling grass I hear Him pass, He speaks to me ev’rywhere.
This is my Father’s world, why should my heart be sad, The Lord is King, let the heavens ring, God reigns, let the earth be glad. *Hymn of Thanksgiving Holy, Holy, Holy (all singing).......................................................................................NICAEA H oly, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning, our song shall rise to Thee. Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty. God in three Persons, blessed Trinity. Amen! 4

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. 9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him. 8

When he wrote this hymn in the early 1920s, Thomas Chisholm was not thinking of God’s faithfulness in a major crisis. Instead, thinking of Lamentations 3:23, he said, “I see morning by morning the unfailing faithfulness of a covenantkeeping God. God has given me many wonderful displays of his providing care, for which I am filled with astonishing gratefulness.” Where have you seen the faithfulness of God?

With by Skye Jethani
Why are American believers failing to experience the true freedom of Christianity? Why are pastors burning out at an alarming rate? Exploring the biblical narrative alongside stories of faithful men and women throughout history, Jethani demonstrates how we can stop living our life for God and start living in communion with him. “Who knew that a preposition had so much influence? Jethani’s book will challenge the way that you think about God and faith digging deep into our motivations and heart issues. You can’t read this book and not see yourself and others differently!” - Margaret Feinberg, author of Scouting the Divine and Hungry for God Available in the Peachtree Bookstore and the Williams Center.

Sermon Series For many, some of our best memories are of childhood summers, when the days seemed endlessly free to roam, explore and play. A treasured memory for many is the family road trip vacation, with luggage on the car, road side attractions, and postcards sent home. A life of grace is built for the same sense of peace and playfulness. This summer, explore the long sunsets and lemonade days of the faith life.
