Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee - #21 Lighting of the Candles Placement of the Bible Prayer of Confession Merciful God, the glories of your creation speak to us of your power and strength. Just as you care for the smallest details of the world around us, you have promised to care for us. Forgive us for ignoring your promise, choosing instead to live our days in hurry and worry. We take on too much and anxiously push to do all that we take on. Teach us to trust you and to rest in your grace, confident that you already know what we need and you will be faithful to provide it. Hear us now as we continue our confession in silence . . . Assurance of God’s Forgiveness

Student Ministry Teams Commissioning Next Sunday, July 7th, a high school and college mission trip team travels to the Costa Rican towns of Fraijanes and Brasilito to build greenhouses, repair homes, and lead a vacation bible school. On the same day, a middle school team will travel to Savannah to partner in mission with Youthworks and other churches to serve the homeless, elderly, and underprivileged community. Pray for our students to grow in faith, help others and form lasting bonds and partnerships on these life changing trips. Both teams will be commissioned at the 11:15 Summit service. WEEKLY RECOMMENDED RESOURCE The Little Way of Ruthie Leming
❏ Children’s Ministry
by Rod Dreher
❏ Student Ministry
Philadelphia journalist Rod Dreher’s younger sister Ruthie is diagnosed with cancer at the age of 40. As Ruthie struggles, Dreher is moved by the way his old hometown of St. Francisville, Louisiana (pop. 1,700), rallies around his sister, a schoolteacher. As he witnesses the community’s support, he wonders whether the ordinary life Ruthie leads in their country town is in fact a path of hidden grandeur, even spiritual greatness. Available in the Peachtree Bookstore & Williams Center.

WHAT’S CURRENT AT PEACHTREE or many, some of our best memories are of childhood summers, when the days seemed endlessly free to roam, explore and play. A treasured memory for many is the family road trip vacation, with luggage on the car, road side attractions, and postcards sent home. A life of grace is built for the same sense of peace and playfulness.
This summer, explore the long sunsets and lemonade days of the faith life.

Back Pack Drive Starting July 1st, help a Child Get Ready for School. It’s as easy as 1,2,3! Take a backpack card from the table in the Welcome Center, The Gym or The Lodge. Purchase a backpack and fill it with the listed items. Return it by July 28 to the collection bins in the Welcome Center, The Gym or The Lodge. Your backpack will support our community ministry partners in their efforts to help vulnerable children get a great start on the upcoming school year.
