GIVE PRAISE TO GOD **Hymn of Praise Jesus Shall Reign - #496 Lighting of the Candles Placement of the Bible Prayer of Confession Merciful God, day after day your spirit leads us along paths where the traffic is heavy with those who need you. Some live with concealed hurts and they need the compassion of Christ. Others are asking hard questions and they need a listening presence. We confess that we have not been eager to walk alongside those who are seeking you. Forgive us and keep us alert to your work around us. Prepare us to be used by you in this coming week as we continue our confession in silence . . Assurance of God’s Forgiveness *Congregational Response In Christ There is No East or West - #479 (verses 1 & 2) **Life of the Congregation Pastoral Prayer and the Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
