Pastoral Prayer and the Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Lead On, O King Eternal - #332 (verse 3) Lead on, O King Eternal: we follow, not with fears; For gladness breaks like morning where’er Thy face appears; Thy cross is lifted o’er us; we journey in its light: The crown awaits the conquest; Lead on, O God of might. Offering Our Gifts Sanctus from Requiem *Prayer of Adoration Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty! Heaven and Earth are full of your glory! Hosanna in the Highest! GIVE PRAISE TO GOD **Hymn of Praise

LISTEN TO GOD’S WORD

Placement of the Bible Prayer of Confession Merciful God, so often we gather here content to arrive on time and attend a weekly service. In our Sunday routine your cross comes to us as an interruption. We confess that religious observances are far easier than a walk with Jesus. We are reluctant to get too close to his sufferings and share the burden he bears for our world. Forgive our hurried habits in worship, and make us bold to walk the way of service and sacrifice. Come even now and interrupt us with your power and presence as we offer our silent prayers of confession . . . Assurance of God’s Forgiveness *Congregational Response
