Offering Our Gifts God So Loved the World from The Crucifixion, John Stainer
Prayer of Confession Merciful God, because you are holy you have called us to be a holy people. We confess today that we have not aspired to holiness. We fear becoming stern and stoic in the way we live. We fear being aloof and condescending in the way we relate to others. By the power of your Spirit, make us a holy people —a people who love you deeply, who show that love as we serve in the world, and who draw others to you. Grant to us the joy and gladness of a holy life as we offer silent prayers of confession…
God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that who so believeth, believeth in Him should not perish, should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son Into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Doxology* Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow #544
Assurance of God’s Forgiveness

Dr. Steve Huntley was ordained in 1961 and has served as a faithful pastor and compassionate shepherd for over 54 years. He served churches in Decatur, Georgia; Williston, Florida; Kingstree, South Carolina and Memphis, Tennessee before answering the call to serve Peachtree on August 15, 1989. Steve has been a teacher, a caregiver, a shepherd, a pastor, and friend to our Peachtree family. We celebrate Dr. Steve Huntley today. He will be greatly missed. He is indeed a good and faithful servant. We thank our God in every remembrance of you, Dr. Steve!
