JCI World Congress
Daily News The 2015 JCI World Congress serves not only as a momentous occasion for organizations around the world to unite and celebrate impact, but also as the culminating event of the 100th Anniversary celebrations. JCI delegates started their World Congress week by arriving to Kanazawa, Japan energized and ready to take on the week ahead. In anticipation to the Opening Ceremony, members mingled, made connections and prepared for the weeks upcoming programs, forums, ceremonies and most importantly the celebrations! During the official Opening Ceremony of the World Congress, Her Imperial Highness Princess Mako of Akishino graced the audience with a speech on the cultural and historical offerings of Kanazawa and thanked the delegation for celebrating the 100th Anniversary of JCI Movement in Kanazawa. Following Her Imperial Highness, 2015 JCI Japan President Kosuke Shibata welcomed the delegates to his home country and thanked the audience for their continued support. 2015 JCI President Ismail Haznedar, along with JCI Japan President Shibata and Congress Director Norihide Suzuki, declared the Congress officially open as confetti showered the audience! After the ceremony, delegates continued by celebrating and dancing the night away at the Welcome Night party.
