MESSAGE OF GREETINGS Dear Honored Members, Alumni and Senators of JCI, Dear delegates of the 2019 JCI World Congress, It is my honor to welcome you all to the 2019 JCI World Congress in the beautiful city of Tallinn! Serving as the 2019 JCI President of this prestigious organization has been a great, yet challenging journey. However, challenges are part of the process that a leader must face to test his or her strength. Leadership is indeed the core of this great organization and as we continue to develop more and more leaders, we must remember the purpose of why we’ve gathered here in Tallinn. That purpose being for us to take this opportunity to inspire and enhance our skills so we can leave here a better version of ourselves. This has been a life changing journey that I have been pleased to share with you all of you. Once again I say thank you for your dedication, passion and support. Your efforts throughout the year have not gone unnoticed. We have a mission to empower young people to create positive change. A mission that was brought to us by our great founders. A mission that has stood the test of time. Let this mission carry us till the ends of time. I challenge you to engage even more with young people about joining this great adventure called JCI. By being advocates for JCI, we will become the leading global network of young active citizens. As we gather in Tallinn, we must continue our tasks as leaders in all three sectors—civil society, business and government. By engaging with young people and all three sectors, we gain even more opportunities to create impact in communities all around the world. By creating local impact, we can change the world while leading innovative initiatives to support the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. I urge you to continue to inspire youth, inspire leaders and inspire change. Let us encourage others as well as ourselves to change the world. Once again, welcome to Tallinn and the 2019 JCI World Congress! Best regards,
Alexander Tio 2019 JCI President
