MESSAGE OF GREETINGS Dear 2019 JCI European Conference Delegates, We are witnessing a great need for JCI in today’s Europe and the importance of us being the driving force of positive impact. Our roots lie in the belief that brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations and that Europe’s greatest strength is our rich diversity. While we are supported by a strong foundation, we increasing find the need for agility, innovation and relevance in the organization. We need to be agile so that our management and responses to external factors are made easily. Therefore we will test out new things during this conference and make decisions with added speed. We will foster innovation to meet society’s current challenges. I would like to draw your attention to the Hack For Global Goals sessions where we will take action toward the SDGs by utilizing design thinking methods. We will dare to try new things and we need your input and expertise. The program has an external focus where current societal issues and challenges are at the forefront of discussions so we can form sustainable solutions. Let’s let our voices be heard and take an active part in our common society, Europe. Together we can accelerate the transformation that is so greatly needed. I look forward to working together to make the conference the most memorable and impactful event we can imagine, living the commitment revolution and challenging the status quo. Let’s act! Sincerely, Viktor Ómarsson 2019 JCI Executive Vice President
