She wants to practise taking photos right away. All she needs is someone to pose for the camera.

Carrie looks for her mum in the kitchen. “Mum, can I take a few photos of you?” she asks. “Later, Carrie,” her mum answers, “I’m cooking now.”

Carrie looks for her dad in the living room. “Dad, can I take some photos of you?” she asks. Her dad replies, “Not now, Carrie. I need to make some phone calls first.”

So, Carrie goes out to the garden. She sees a butterfly. It lands on a flower nearby. Carrie quickly holds up her camera to take a photo of the butterfly. ‘Click!’

Oh, no! It flies away just before Carrie takes a snapshot.

Carrie has an idea. “Carrot! Why don’t you pose for me?” “Arf! Arf!” Carrot thinks it is a good idea, too.

Carrie gives Carrot some instructions, “Okay, stand on two legs.”

‘Click!’ There is a bright flash. For a moment, Carrot is dizzy.

Carrie apologizes, “Oops! Sorry, Carrot. I should have warned you about the flash.”

“Now,” says Carrie, “let’s go inside and find some costumes for you to wear.”

Carrie pulls out a green blouse and a yellow hat from the cupboard. She puts these on Carrot. “You look good, Carrot!” she says. “Arf!” Carrot barks.

“Say, ‘cheese’!” Carrie yells to Carrot. ‘Click!’ Carrot gets dizzy again.

‘Click! Click! Click!’ After a few more snapshots, Carrot refuses to pose. She is tired of getting dizzy every time Carrie takes a photo.

“I know just what to do!� exclaims Carrie. She looks for something in her beach bag. What could Carrie be looking for?

Soon, she pulls out a pair of sunglasses. “Here, Carrot!” she says excitedly, “You can wear these. Then, your eyes will be protected from the camera’s flash.” So, Carrot puts on Carrie’s sunglasses.

Carrie takes a few more snapshots. This time, the photos are fabulous because Carrot is smiling in all of them!
