Leslie Steinau Educational Series The Dance of the Titans: U.S. and China in the 21st Century
Monday, January 21 - 7:00pm in the Theater Presented by Pelican Preserve Resident, Clara Yu – President Emerita of the Monteray Institute of International Studies, a graduate school known for its international politics, business and language programs. The world’s two super powers are very different in culture, political structure and social mores. Each is involved in intricate and delicate geopolitical relations that can bring them into conflict. They are also in fierce competition for natural and human resources, and vying for superiority in military might, global influence, and technological prowess. We hope their future interaction will resemble a dance, not a clash. There will be a great demand for Americans who understand China’s culture, speak its language, and can act as able partners in all aspects of life on this shrinking global village. Learn how you can give your grandchildren an edge by inspiring them with your own interest in China. In so doing, you will also be making a real contribution to global peace, security, and prosperity.
