Lasse received his inspiration from the swaying reeds he saw during his canoe trips. This intense, warm and harmoniously sophisticated pattern is decorated with bright irises that lend it strength. Inspired by the oil paints and simplistic works of Finnish fine artist Helene Schjerfbeck, Minna Niskakangas created her own Helene pattern. The colours are versatile, refined and serene – inspired by the way Schjerfbeck used colours. Together with the sleek Valkea (White) tableware set, the calming textiles and ceramics of the graphic Jäkälä (Lichen) series bring balance to the colours.
