NO DEAL YET ON REC CENTRE

SUMMER HAS PASSED WITHOUT ACCESS TO THE RECREATION CENTRE POOL AT THE HEART OF THE RIDGES' ESTATE AND IT'S STILL NOT CLEAR WHEN, OR IF, IT WILL OPEN AGAIN.

On February 24, 2023, an Aveo spokesperson said there was little to report just yet.

"Further to the expressions of interest campaign, Aveo are in negotiations with shortlisted parties, working towards facilitating a sale as soon as possible of the Ridges Estate Recreation Facility".

The Recreation Centre went on the market on October 28, 2022, with expressions of interest closing on November 24, 2022.

The sale came after Ridges Body Corporates voted against accepting the terms of a deal offered by Aveo to transfer the venue to the Principal Body Corporate.
