Journey of Faith (12) - Krom Srey Ann

My name is Krom Srey Ann. I am a mother of five children.

I accepted Christ through my older sister. In the middle of 2020, there was a crisis in my family. I was about to divorce my husband. One day my sister came to me and told me she was healed from her lifelong illness when she went to the Church. She suggested I meet the Pastor in Church before divorcing my husband.

I went to the Church with my sister. I met the Pastor and the Church members. They prayed for me. They advised and encouraged me to reconcile with my husband. But inside my heart, I thought I would never reconcile with my husband. I was very angry with him and all that I wanted was to divorce him immediately.

I went home after the prayer at Church. I had a dream that very night. I saw my husband with another woman in the dream. I felt very angry in the dream. The next day when I woke up I kept thinking about the dream, I started to realise that I still loved my husband. That was the reason I felt very angry when I saw him with another woman. God worked in my heart and He answered my prayer. He rescued my marriage and restored my relationship with my husband.

I fully believed in Jesus after that incident. My husband and two daughters also accepted Christ not long after. We invited the Pastor and Church members to pray at our house and removed all the idols and altars from our house. We also had our water baptism on that day. Praise God.

Moreover, God also blessed my family through our daily work. He blessed our farm and granted me good health. Now, I have more energy and I don’t easily fall sick like before.

When my family accepted Jesus, we experienced that God had put happiness in us. Before we invited God to be the Lord God of our family, we had many difficulties. My husband used to get drunk every day and created many problems for us. Now, even though he still can’t get away from alcoholism thoroughly, God is changing him day by day. And we can enjoy real happiness in our family.

I feel joyful in God. I have no more bitterness in my heart. Some of the unbelievers in my village said bad things about God and persecuted my family after knowing that we had accepted Christ. Those who hate me did not hinder my faith in the Lord. After some time, they started to see the testimony in our life and some of them started to love us back. When they come and ask me about God, I always share with them about God’s wonderful work for my family.

God works more and more in my family now. Through my prayer, He protects me and my family and my children who work in Phnom Penh. He helps me to see that He is willing to take away my sin and all my burdens, He gives me peace. I am willing to put my trust in Him, to love Him and to obey Him.

I pray that God will continue to lead my family. I hope God will work more in my husband’s life so that he can be changed completely and remain stronger in faith until the end.
