The Hull and East Yorkshire Centre for the Deaf has benefitted from Stratton mk3 wall-hung condensing boilers, donated by Hamworthy Heating, to replace the charity’s existing, faulty boiler. Tucker Mechanical and Electrical Building Services evaluated the heating requirements and recommended the Stratton mk3 for its efficiency

Project moves college closer to net zero

Eight heat pumps provided by Banbury-based manufacturer Lochinvar are helping South Devon College progress its net zero carbon emissions ambitions. The college upgraded its heating and hot water system and incorporated the Lochinvar heat pumps to provide 1.6 MW of heating for the site.

and cost-saving benefits. The 70kW model with a 95.5% gross seasonal efficiency features an integral sequence controller, 5:1 turndown and quiet operation. Also supplied were two frame and header kits to increase the overall output of the boiler system up to 140kW, a plate heat exchanger, pressurisation unit and an expansion vessel.

Lochinvar worked closely with the contractor Mitie Facilities Management of Cardiff and provided extensive advice to help them design and specify the most appropriate system.
