Dual showers offer extra flexibility
The Plan blue range from Keuco has been enhanced with the addition of two new on-wall shower fittings. There is a choice of a thermostat shower mixer or a combination with an integrated head and hand shower.
The slim Plan blue design and the shower mixer with head and hand shower is suitable for both domestic applications and hotel bathrooms, and both options work with specifications for new builds and renovations.
The thermostatic shower mixers are available in classic chrome or black. The matt finish on the black option has a special lacquer coating for extra durability and is also easy to clean, while adding an intense depth of colour that is said to add a touch of luxury to the bathroom.
For ease of use, the flat head shower has a height-adjustable rail and the large overhead shower
(a diameter of 250mm) can be swivelled and moved to the desired position, while the hand shower can be positioned within easy reach and at the right height with a shower slide.

Since the introduction of modern central heating, accessing hot water from the kitchen sink or ensuite shower is often met with an icy cold wait for the boiler to fire up. Then, the boiler would heat the water, circulate it through the domestic hot water (DHW) pipeline to the users desired location. In bigger homes it’s even more of an issue.
Traditionally, many installers have shunned gas combi boilers for larger domestic properties, often associating combis with slow water heat-up and low flow rates, which just wouldn’t do the job in bigger homes. This is why many would opt for a system boiler instead.
However, something more advanced is needed to meet the increasing demands of the end user, who want hot water effectively ‘on tap’. The answer is hot water recirculation systems, which are helping speed up the process and eradicate those lukewarm morning showers or chilly dish washing sessions.
Growing demand
As more and more homes are fitted with multiple bathrooms, the need for hot water at multiple sources efficiently has only increased, with a growing number of homes having at least three bathrooms. Such a high number of hot water outlets requires new technologies and advanced solutions to ensure the needs of occupants is being met, each and every time.
Secondary return systems or pumped return systems are common in larger homes to provide almost instant hot water to each outlet regardless of where in the property they are located, or the time of day its needed. They work by using a dedicated loop, usually in conjunction with hot water cylinders as part of a system boiler. This requires a hot water pipe to be installed in a loop, connecting to all hot water outlets throughout the property. As the recirculation system is constantly circulating throughout the loop, the supply is almost instant, meaning users can access hot water in a matter of seconds.
Rapid delivery
The NCB ON range is a new concept from Navien that has been designed to deliver both rapid hot water, and consistency in temperatures, throughout the property – all without the need for a hot water cylinder. Uniquely, the combination of the NCB ON range and our
