Authentic Japanese Cuisine Japanese cuisine is one of the most popular cuisines and many Japanese restaurants have sprung up all over the world – Thailand and Phuket are no exception. Unfortunately not every single Japanese restaurant is worth a visit. We would like to introduce diners on a quest for great Japanese dining experiences to Kiko Restaurant, which is easily reached from Kamala, Kalim or Patong. Led by Chef Yi Fan Chu, Kiko Restaurant has been revolutionised with fresh ideas that take the restaurant to a new level for better dining experiences. The newly appointed young and passionate executive chef has years of culinary experience from the USA, Germany and Thailand; and even appeared on the television show Iron Chef Thailand. Kiko has been refurbished and the menu is revitalised. Those who have been here before should visit again to check out the updated menu; whilst new travellers to the island will love their first trip to this fabulous Japanese venue. Kiko puts a focus on authentic Japanese food with the freshest ingredients. Further to traditional dishes, the chef promises a special dish every week. Menu offerings include a variety of Japanese dishes such as sushi and sashimi, rice bowls and of course, traditional sake. Kick your taste buds into gear with Chicken Karaage. With a mixed array of fresh ingredients from the sea – namely tuna, hamaji, big squid, octopus and salmon – you will taste freshness in each bite. Do not stop if you have never tried sushi. Sample the spicy tuna roll if you want a taste of tuna with a twist; or choose the assorted sushi for various delights to savour. The portions are designed for two – and sets feature egg tamagoyaki sushi, shrimp, spicy salmon and salmon roe, tuna, squid, salmon, Hokkaido scallop, mackerel and hamaji – all in mouthful sizes with premium sushi rice that has been mindfully seasoned to tasty heights. For meat lovers, Wagyu beef dishes are also available.

Savoury Italian Cuisine Leonardo Da Vinci promises a great dining experience and evening to remember. This stylish restaurant is tucked in a quiet corner down Katanoi Road, on a little hill just before Kata Gardens Apartment. We were impressed by the cosy and private atmosphere of the restaurant, plus the warm and welcoming hearts of the staff. From an array of traditional Italian cuisine and guided by friendly staff, we chose Darna Di Salmone Norvegese Al Pane Verde, which is sliced Norwegian salmon with a firm texture that is perfectly baked with Italian herbs and bread crumbs. This delicious dish is highly recommended! Seafood Risotto then followed – a sumptuous dish that should not be missed. The dish was comprised of a variety of fresh seafood including prawns, scallops, mussels, squid and crab – and it was perhaps one of the best risottos we have ever tasted. We ordered a few more dishes and found that we were impressed by the authenticity of the cuisine. The Crust Seafood Pizza, Seafood Spaghetti and Tuna Steak were all are beyond expectation and excellent choices for your first visit to this restaurant. At Leonardo Da Vinci, apart from fresh seafood prepared in authentic Italian style, you can also expect to experience house organic wines that will boost your appetite and enhance any meal selection. Don’t forget to ask for homemade Panacotta – the recommended dessert for anyone with a sweet tooth. Guests easily fall in love with this delicious treat – fresh, soft and aromatic with a little sweetness, it is “happiness in your mouth”. Restaurant Preview 20

Chef Vincenxo Sorrentino occasionally visited us at the table to check if everything was alright and we were pleased with his cuisine. A little surprise again – when we asked for the bill, a box of homemade cookies was presented with it. Yes, we loved the service! Leonardo Da Vinci opens daily only for dinner from 5:30pm till 11:30pm with the kitchen taking the last order at 10:30pm. The restaurant has ample space for private parties or gatherings ranging from small family affairs to larger scale functions up to 100 guests.
