Sandra Aguilera Sandra Aguilera was hired by the Arizona Highway Patrol in 1980. In 1986 she was the first woman to qualify and ride motorcycles with the Arizona Highway Patrol (Department of Public Safety). Sandra successfully promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 1990. She continued to ride Motors making her the first female motorcycle sergeant in the State of Arizona. Sandra is the founder and owner of S.T.A.R. Concepts (Safety, Training, Appropriate, Response) an Awareness, Self-Protection and Self- Defense company which teaches women, children, teens, parents and seniors realistic strategies to stay safe from potential conflicts, scams and danger.
She has developed several programs with the help from fellow police officers, military personnel, individuals experienced in the martial arts arena, teachers, doctors, phycologist and parents. Some of the classes offered are Bully Prevention, Stranger Awareness, Pedestrian Safety, Cyberbullying, Internet Safety, Distracted Driving, Financial Scams, Accident Scene Management for motorcycle riders and Women’s Self-Defense (from a women’s perspective, we can’t fight a man like a man, but we can effectively defend ourselves). As the owner and lead instructor of S.T.A.R. CONCEPTS, Sandra has had the honor of teaching numerous groups to include; Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, The Cardinal's Cheerleaders, The Rattler's Sidewinder Dancers, Church Groups, Credit Union employees, Realtor Groups, Military Families, Cotillion Groups in Chandler and Scottsdale, National Charity League in Ahwatukee and Scottsdale, Fire Fighter Families, Home Schooled Children, Public Schools, Charter and Religious Schools, Mohave County Court and the Wives of the Arizona Cardinals Coaches. S.T.A.R. Concepts was nominated for new business of the year in Phoenix (Ahwatukee), Arizona in 2015 for their work with children and teens. We were business owners in Portland, OR, working about 80 hours a week. We had no time and lots of work. When we looked at Team National, we wanted the savings and more customers. I joined Team National about 4 years ago. The main reason was to help build my real estate business. As a realtor, I am always looking for new ways to market myself.
