Why would you ever want to be an Entrepreneur? Article by- Brittany Ann
Entrepreneurship… a word that has exploded in today’s business market. For a long time, people did not recognize it as a career or even a job. For many years and still to this day my family sees me as having all the time in the world because I do not go to a 9-5 job. When in truth I work way more than an 8-hour day and am always working. Entrepreneurs can identify with that whole heartedly. Weather, we are on vacation or at the grocery store we are always sharing our business with someone. Being an entrepreneur requires a certain mindset. We think differently and as some may say “ we are living on the edge.” We say.. “That is half of the fun”, the other half is the perks that come with owning your own business. Like you don’t answer to anyone but yourself, time freedom and the opportunity to grow as big as you like.
However, there is a downside too. You are solely responsible for the success or failure of your business. And, as you know only the strong survive. Really, if you are the type of person that once they set their mind to something, nothing gets in your way and your are fully committed. Get started and stay STRONG. MarJeanne Fields I spent a decade in sales traveling around the country constantly “chasing the carrot”, and always looking for the next sale. This took a ton of time and effort on my part but one day I thought “there HAS to be a better way!”. I decided to go back to college, and I now hold both an Associates’ and a Bachelors’ degree in Sales and Marketing with my degrees’ emphasis in technical management (online marketing). Six years ago, I decided to follow my family when they moved to Phoenix. Even though this was my 48th move in eight years, I have always loved Arizona and felt like I was finally moving “home”. Shortly after the move I found work as a Google account manager. While learning from Google, I created ads using Google AdWords to help clients in their digital marketing efforts. During my time at Google I developed a passion for helping small business owners jump start their lead generation through online marketing. Following my time with Google, I moved on to work with three startup companies looking to grow their market, and generate higher gross revenues. Through my management skills, I helped each team to grow their businesses through all avenues of marketing. I was able to learn first-hand what works in marketing, and what doesn’t. It gave me a great sense of pride watching these small companies go from basically no revenue per year and no employees, to establishing a business that financially supported employees, local and international subcontractors, and helped bring needed products and services to the community. DI Marketing is an Arizona based website design and social media management firm specializing in developing, updating, and monitoring all aspects of social media for our clients. I am very excited and grateful about the early success of DI Marketing, and the responses that my clients have had from the digital marketing my company monitors. Michele Celentano Michele is a native New Yorker who moved to Phoenix in 2002. When she is not creating portraits for her clients she enjoys reading, cooking, running, yoga, red wine, traveling, spending time with friends and family. Her husband Paul is a Captain at the Sun City Fire Department. Between them they have 3 daughters, Anna 16, Ashley 21 and Alli 24.
She has been a professional photographer for nearly 30 years and has been a prominent educator in the field for more than 18 years. From Italy, Korea, Puerto Rico to Hawaii and from small intimate workshops to large conventions, Michele has taught photography to budding photographers all over the world. Photographs are the tangible things Michele values the most in her life. Photographs of her grandparents, daughter at different stages of her life, holidays, vacations, her wedding, Her husband, friends and family.
