Karina Epperlein understands T’ai Chi as the “mother of all,” a musical sphere that embrac es the melodies of yin and yang, the pulse of full and empty, the breath of in and out In the early 80’s, Karina was trained by Martin Inn from the Inner Research Institute to become a teacher of the Short Form developed by Cheng Man Ch’ing In 1986, she opened her own school The Blue House in San Francisco, and in 1990, shifted her classes to the East Bay In the nineties, Karina taught her Chi Flow class at the Claremont Spa and also taught creative expression at drug rehab facilities and a fed eral women’s prison for more than six years “Over the decades I have listened carefully to my students so I could grow with the changing times, but I always feel drawn and fiercely at tached to the simple and vigorous principles of T’ai Chi ”.
