† PRAYER OF THE DAY † PRAYER OF CONFESSION Rev. Matt Drumheller
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION Isaiah Shu FIRST LESSON Leviticus 19:1 2, 15 18 Old Testament Page 106 One: The Word of the Lord. Many: Thanks be to God.
Lord, we confess that we do not live as those worthy to be entrusted with the good news of your grace. We relate to others callously as though we do not the gospel ourselves. We seek to please and manipulate, using flattery to gain praise and distinction. Our motives are mixed and impure. Lord, reassure and cleanse us, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

SECOND LESSON 2 Timothy 3:10 17 New Testament Page 213 THIRD LESSON Matthew 22:34-40 New Testament Page 25
We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God. Jesus proclaimed the reign of God: preaching good news to the poor and release to the captives, teaching by word and deed and blessing the children, healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and believe the gospel. Unjustly condemned for blasphemy and sedition, Jesus was crucified, suffering the depths of human pain and giving himself for the life of the world. God raised this Jesus from the dead, vindicating his sinless life, breaking the power of sin and evil, delivering us from death to life eternal. Amen.
† AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Excerpts from A Brief Statement of Faith

O God, Your Spirit shows those things to all Your children far and near; uplift all hearts to know Your truth, to live Your love right here, live love right here.
