Pine Street Presbyterian Church in the City of Harrisburg Pine Street is a Welcoming Church, Glorifying God through Worship, Fellowship, and Service in the World. 21, 2022 Eleventh Sunday after Pentecost
GATHERING IN THE PRESENCE OF THE RISEN CHRIST
Praise to the Lord of the small, broken things, who sees the poor sparrow that cannot take wing, who loves the lame child, and the wretch in the street, who comforts their sorrows and washes their feet. Praise to the Lord of the faint and afraid, who girds them with courage and lends them His aid; He pours out His Spirit on vessels so weak that the timid can serve and the silent can speak. Praise to the Lord of the frail and the ill, who heals their afflictions, or carries them till they leave this tired frame and to paradise fly, to never be sick, and never to die, never die. Praise Him, O praise Him, all ye who yet live, who’ve been given so much and can so little give, our frail, lisping praise God will never despise: He sees His children through mercy filled eyes.

READING AND HEARING THE WORD
FIRST LESSON Jeremiah 23:23-29 Old Testament Page 726 One: The Word of the Lord.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
God of mercy, so often we choose judgment when we should choose compassion. So often we’d rather observe the speck in our neighbor’s eye, looking past the log in our own. We confess that we judge those you love and call us to accept. Forgive us and open our eyes to your grace.

Drumheller † AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Excerpts from A Brief Statement of Faith In life and in death we belong to God. Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, we trust in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel, whom alone we worship and serve. With believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

ANTHEM Let All the World in Every Corner Sing Paul M. Vasile
THE PEACE One: The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Many: And also with you.
Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King! Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King! The heavens are not too high, God’s praise may thither fly; the earth is not too low, God’s praises there may grow. Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King! Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King! The church with psalms must shout: No door can keep them out; but, above all, the heart must bear the longest part. Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King! Let all the world in every corner sing, my God and King!
