To that end, the NDE test results from multiple NDE tests discussed above were fused, and the corresponding Damage Density Index was determined. Figure 56 plots the damage index results for the periodic NDE data collection from BEAST and demonstrates the trend of this index against the predicted deck condition. The results portray the higher sensitivity of the fused damage index in terms of remaining service life of the bridge. Thus, it can be successfully employed for the identification of deck deterioration.
