TheAnimalServicesDivisionisacrucial partofourpublicsafetyteam,working tirelesslytoensureasafercommunity andbuildpublictrust.Theyachievethis throughpromptandhumane enforcementofCityanimalcontrol ordinancesandstatestatutes. Additionally,theyoperateanexpanded animalshelterthatprovidespetadoption servicesandclean,sanitaryconfinement forthousandsofsurrenderedandseized animals.
OurdedicatedAnimalServicesFieldOfficersrespondtovariousrequests,including thoserelatedtoanimalcruelty,animalbites,looselivestockorwildlife,stray animals,andanimaldisturbances.
Afewfunfacts:inthepastsixmonths,theshelterhasadoptedout7guineapigs,2 parakeets,and1tortoise,whilehandling1,044dogsand902cats.TheHearttoHome AnimalAdoptionCenter,newlyrenovated,celebrateditsgrandreopeningin January.
