Taijutsu for Adults
Unlike most Martial Arts, training at the Temple Bujinkan Dojo is conducted in a friendly and noncompetitive atmosphere. Under the guidance of black belt instructors, students train together assisting each other in learning the techniques. Because Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu relies on naturally efficient body movement, rather than strength or speed to overcome an attacker, the training is safe, stimulating, and accessible to any adult regardless of age, physical condition or previous martial art experience. Class format is monthly sessions and classes meet weekly (Mondays and Wednesdays). For more information, call 254.298.5474.
The Trash Fashion program is an environmental educational program that engages students and artists to become knowledgeable about problems associated with waste generation through fashion and artistic design; then encourages them to find solutions and craft their own clothing outfit, bag, hat, etc out of recyclable items. This program will meet up once a week and followed by a Trashion Runway Show. For more information, call 254.298.5474.

Mushroom Festival in Madisonville
What a fitting way to start the Christmas season by strolling the narrow streets of Bethlehem as they were over two thousand years ago. Experience the authentic re-creation of that night under the stars as locals portray merchants, beggars, tax collectors and peddlers. Follow the crowds to the inn; then discover the manger under the brightest star of all, as a hush falls over those gathered. We will arrive early in Burnet to browse the quaint shops and eat prior to the opening of the village.

Temple Parks & Recreation works diligently to provide citizens with clean, attractive, and well maintained areas. Due to the large number of parks in Temple, it is difficult to keep each park in top condition at all times. We are very thankful for all the help from our wonderful community members and organizations that help us maintain and enhance our parks! Adopt-A-Park groups help inform parks staff of issues or wants for their park and also organize park work days, clean up, plant trees and plants,
