DESCRIPTION Whether your child has been playing for years or has never swung a club before, the Sammons Junior Golf Academy is the perfect opportunity to teach them the game of golf. Kids ages 6 to 17 will learn the skills, rules, and beauty of the game. Upon graduation from the Academy, students will receive a SJGA polo style shirt, hat, and a certificate of completion. Please register your child in person at Sammons Golf Links located at 2727 W. Adams in Temple. Space is limited to the first 15 students for 6-10 year olds and the first 20 for the 11-17 year olds. Due to the success of the Sammons Junior Golf Benefit Tournament, we have purchased all new equipment for teaching this year. If your child does not have clubs, we are able to provide them for the camps. Having this equipment will help us to properly teach the fundamentals of the swing and instill proper technique for your child.

PARK
Temple Parks & Recreation staff work diligently to provide citizens with clean, attractive, and well maintained areas. Due to the large number of parks in Temple, it is difficult to keep each park in top condition at all times. We are very thankful for all the help from our wonderful community members and organizations that help us maintain and enhance our parks! Adopt-A-Park groups help inform parks staff of issues or wants for their park and also organize park work days, clean up, plant trees and plants, and complete other projects to help maintain or enhance their parks.
