Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, because so much is happening in our great city.

Children are going back to school, youth football and soccer are in full swing, and a variety of local festivals and 5K runs seem to be happening every weekend as the summer heat fades away and we can enjoy being outdoors. City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation is here to help you and your family transition into the season with fun activities for all ages, and I hope you’ll explore all that our fall guide has to offer. There are after school programs at four of our 10 community resource centers, new programs, and a plethora of team sports and activities with teambuilding and community in mind. I love what we do here, because all ages can gather to get out and play, both indoors and Pleaseout.remember,

BOARD The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Board meets on the third Thursday of each month at 8 a.m. in the Hagler-Mason Conference Room inside of City Hall. Citizens may attend board meetings in person or online.

While it is bittersweet to have my time as mayor come to an end, I am truly honored for the opportunities I’ve had to meet so many residents and families who live in our incredible city and enjoy everything it has to offer. I know our beautiful parks, greenspaces, waterways and other amenities contribute to our great quality of life and continue to attract new residents every day. I am hopeful that under the new leadership of our next Mayor, the City of Pensacola will continue to thrive. Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Mayor. It has been an honor. The future is bright for Pensacola, and I am proud to have helped make it possible.
