JLC Academic Mentoring
This elite bespoke service is for ambitious students and provides carefully designed support to ensure each student reaches their true potential. The programmes are specifically designed to meet individual
learning needs and include academic and pastoral support. Mentors set goals with the student from the beginning and monitor them closely on their academic and extra-curricular progress. Mentors can help advise on subject and course selection, arrange work experience and internships as well as organise institution visits and educational trips. They offer regular feedback and progress reports which are sent to parents and can make arrangements for summer programmes, tutoring and additional support if needed. The Lead Education Consultant at JLC, Dr. Karen Li Foster, is a former researching lecturer at Oxford University and University College London. She heads up the mentoring services at JLC and will help design a programme for you and your child. All the JLC mentors have extensive experience in helping students secure places at highly competitive senior schools such as Westminster School and Wycombe Abbey, as well as helping secure places at prestigious world-renowned universities: namely University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Imperial College London and London School of Economics, to name a few.
