SPRING—OH, WE HAVE MISSED YOU! To show you how happy we are that spring has finally arrived, we’ve done something special to mark its arrival. And, dear friends, that “something special” is Spring Forward, our second Plucky Collection! It’s filled with colorful and approachable knitwear (and a touch of crochet!) that will carry you through springtime… and forward into summer. After all, every season is the right season for knitwear and our Spring Forward is filled to the brim with lighter, airier and breezier designs. Inside the pages of Spring Forward, you’ll find light beachy sweaters that will be perfect to throw on for a bonfire, sure to chase away any chills that follow a day at the lake. You’ll find fun hats that don’t require any reason to knit or wear other than they are fun to knit and look terrific! We have also included a lovely assortment of lighter wraps that pair perfectly with jeans and a tee, but can easily be dressed up. And, of course we all need a light wrap for those times someone has turned the air conditioning up full blast in a restaurant, a movie theater or the office! Similar to our first Plucky Collection, All Bundled Up, I had the joy and privilege of collaborating with Amy Miller and Jill Zielinski to create this newest collection. Of course, Hayley also played an invaluable role collaborating with me, as she always does, on our new colorways. Without these wonderful gals, this collection simply would not exist. Yes, new colorways! What would spring and summer be without fresh, dreamy colors reflecting the sunny disposition of the warmer seasons? Hayley and I thought non-stop about blue skies, old boats, green grass, road trips, summer bbq’s and fun at the lake in developing our latest colorways. It got us through that last stretch of winter here in Michigan, and we’re so happy to now welcome spring, and soon, summer. We hope you enjoy this new collection, and our new colorways, as much as we did creating them. We have taken the concept of the Granny Square and the African Flower, thrown in some light airy mesh, added a few simple rows and then paired that with Crew to created the perfect summer weight scarf. THE YARNS What a joy it has been to pair each of these patterns with the different Plucky bases and colors shown in this book. We have tried to give you a view toward some of the options you have before you. The look of a finished piece can be dramatically different, depending on which base you select within the recommended weight yarn. As an example, a garment knit in Scholar will have a different look than one knit in another worsted weight, such as Bello Worsted. And, you may even choose to add another dimension by combining two yarns, in two different bases and/or colors, to create you own unique fabric. When that happens, YOU become the designer! Our fibers originate from multiple places â&#x20AC;&#x201C; both domestically and internationally. Plucky yarns are custom milled to meet MY standards of excellence, responsibility and ethical practices. Each skein is hand dyed, in our studio, using techniques we have developed and refined. When you purchase Plucky yarns, you do so knowing that these bases are not available anywhere else in the world. You can feel confident in the knowledge that I have personally developed and tested each base. I am proud of each and every skein of Plucky yarn we produce.

Let’s face it! We, knitters, love a great knitting bag!
