STOPS HERE Facing the New Year in

FEAR OR FAITH Leah A. Cervantes Director HR, OD and Legal

New Year has a way of bringing out various attitudes. Though some are enthusiastic about it; an equal number are either fearful or apathetic. We may have valid reasons for having those feelings, but the question posed to us is, “are those feelings helpful as we embark on a New Year?” When life happens to us, we always have options. New Year presents us with options, too. To face it with fear or to charge with faith? Why Faith? One thing I learned in life is that courage is not the opposite of fear, it is Faith. Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm. Courage is the ability to do something that frightens one. It is being brave. Courage is the action to combat fear. Faith is complete trust or confidence on “Someone” or something. Common denominator of Fear and Faith is a FUTURE that is uncertain. So one becomes courageous because he/she chooses to have faith rather than succumb to his/her fears. This now begs the question, “WHERE WILL YOU PUT YOUR FAITH ON?” On Political or economic leaders? On stocks market? On your bank account? On your credentials? On your company? On your position? Or on your influential relationships?

The past weeks gave me opportunity to catch up with

some employees. I am deeply blessed to know your individual preparation to face the new year. I am also encouraged to see your Opening Activity pictures. In HR, we started our year with a Learning Session. We talked about the Competencies of Leadership, HR Trends and

T hat is why knowledge

How to reach one’s goal. The ladder that you are to step on in reaching your goals must be firmly grounded on the right foundation.

of God and His Word

Building intellectual (expertise),

emotional (relationships), adversity (changes and challenges) and organizational (team) quotients is still

is fundamental to our organizational life.

Power Mac Center’s commitment to each of our employees but efforts to increase these quotients and

the results when these quotients are realized would only matter when Spiritual Quotient is real and high.

These are the promises that we cling on to: -

Jeremiah 29:11 “’For I know the plans I have for you’ says the Lord of the Bible. ‘Plans to PROSPER you and not to harm you. Plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE.’”

-

John 14:5-7 Someone asked Jesus, how will we know the way to God? Jesus says, “I AM THE TRUTH, THE WAY AND THE LIFE. No one comes to God the Father except THROUGH ME. If you really know me, you will know God the Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.”

New Year presents FRESH HOPE not because of New Year perse but because of the ONE who makes all things new. May you choose wisely this year. May you face 2019 with Faith. The Buck Stops Here.

Gilbert Jimenez MANCOM President Senior Area Manager - RBT

Every end marks a new beginning and they say the secret to a good life is to pay attention to beginnings than endings. The good life begins today - new opportunities, new learnings, and new challenges. It is a humbling and rewarding experience to be part of the dynamic and talented Sales Team. At the same time, leading MANCOM who are intentional leaders and strategic thinkers. We are determined to set the bar high this 2019. We will walk forward with faith, fervor and focus towards our 2020 Transformational goals. On behalf of the entire PMC MANCOM, to our Leaders, our people and to PMC, we’ve got your back. The new year starts before us like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. Let’s write a meaningful story this 2019.

Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. Every new year is a challenge but I welcome 2019 with a heart full of appreciation and a mind with strong determination. SPIRITUAL GOALS

Read the Bible Everyday and Meditate on His Words. What books have you read from cover to cover? I guess you have read books like Harry Potter, Fifty Shades of Grey or some best selling novels.

“

I know His word will satisfy my thirst

Our church recently held its annual prayer and fasting, God impressed in my heart how He wanted me to dwell in His words so that I can know and hear Him more. Growing up I never thought how important reading the Scripture was, I just knew that there are traditions that needed to be done in order to gain salvation. My information about Jesus is limited on those traditions. I never knew the deeper meaning of it. I have created a relationship with God according to my little knowledge of Him. I created His image based on my own perception. A God who will answer my prayers and if there are unanswered ones, I question Him if He is true. Aren't most of us are like this?

As I mature in my Christian faith, my desire to know God deepens. How would I know Him if not through His words? How would I know if those traditions are true? For me truth matters, and I know His word will satisfy my thirst. Bible has the best stories to tell, read it from cover to cover.

Sheila Oraye Senior Manager Finance and MIS

FINANCIAL GOALS

Financial freedom

Joseph Magcamit Manager Warehouse and Logistics

One of my goals this year is to have financial freedom. We are targeting to pay off all debts by the end of 1st quarter. After which, we will increase our investment on stocks and mutual funds.

Don’t wish for a good body, Wish to be healthy and work hard for it!

PHYSICAL GOALS

About 5 months ago, I weighed 61kgs. Everytime there’s a photo opportunity, I would hide at the back and find my best angle. Until.. I discovered and made a research on “IF”or Intermittent Fasting. Intermittent fasting is not a diet, but a pattern. It is making a conscious decision to skip certain meals on purpose. But before trying this, it is important to know and listen to your body because not all patterns will work for you. Today, I weigh 54kgs, more confident and satisfied.

HOW DID TEAM BATANGAS WELCOME 2019?

As the new year comes in, so does a fresh start and new beginnings – a chance for us to create a memory worth remembering.

We started 2019 through a gift-giving activity that serves as an eye opener for us. A simple gesture of kindness will make people smile and make them feel special. A random act of kindness will inspire others to go out and plant seeds of happiness. Giving isn’t just about gifts, it’s about making a difference even simple ones in your own little ways.

Pay it forward

Let’s create random acts of kindness. As every small interaction with someone is an opportunity to have a positive impact on both of your lives. Our team - RBT Batangas, made a way to “pay it forward” and to share the blessings that we received through PMC. Blessed 2019 PMC! RBT Batangas

PMS DIALOGUE From Good to Great

TRUTH MATTERS!!! Analee Pallagao Asst. Supervisor - Accounts Payable It was a great privilege to be one of this year's PMC IDC delegates. Sharing with you my key take-away from the 3-day meaningful conference: Truth is not the freedom to do whatever feels right to you because not all things you believe are true. Learn to realize and determine the truth according to God's Will, and influence others. It is amazing that in PMC, we promote on being HEART-CONNECTED. If you do not care for people, you cannot influence them. Let us use this platform, our roles as leaders, to minister the truth to the people around us. It is through RELATIONSHIPS that leaders gain INFLUENCE. If you cannot influence others, you cannot lead. And lastly, do not let your heart be troubled. Always remember that God's thoughts and ways are always greater than ours!

THINK BIBLICALLY! Phoebe Desiderio-Valencia Manager - Learning and Development I’ve always been a believer that when your company goes beyond developing you professionally, you know that you’re up for success in all aspects of your life. That’s exactly what PMC is about - more than looking after your career, your health - they’re helping you build your relationship with CHRIST. It’s been a blessing to attend the IDC 2019 TRUTH MATTERS. I think these are worth-sharing: As an employee- to be the kind of employees that CHRIST wants us to be. As a leader - the need to influence stewardship. And the need to understand Generation Z to help shape my relationship with them. As a wife - to be reminded to respect our husbands at all times. As a disciple - to think biblically about everything. God has an invitation to his banquet. It’s available to all of us, LET’S HAVE A SEAT.

Truth is the orientation of God’s design. Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through Him. TRUTH matters, JESUS matters.
