Overcoming the Last Hurdle to Get the Goal

Everyone has a goal set in mind for different aspects of life: career, relationships, health, and spirituality, just to name a few. However, no goal is designed to be achieved so easily as it is not simply a wish you can make on a falling star or have a genie grant you. Whether it’s running the last kilometer of that marathon you signed up for or finishing some work in the office for one more hour on a Friday before the weekend starts, achieving a certain goal is a process that requires both perseverance and patience—two highly significant traits a successful person possesses—to go hand in hand. Perseverance, by its definition, is continuing to do and putting effort into something no matter how difficult the situation gets. Patience on the other hand, is to remain calm and collected as you carry on with the tasks you have to do. It is easier said than done and it may be difficult to attain these traits all throughout life, which is why taking one step at a time towards the goal is a helpful and pleasant advice. In a corporate setting, there is nothing wrong with stumbling along the way, but every single step—guided by perseverance and patience—is worth taking if it means getting you to your team goal. Let me share these tips and insights from my very own experience on how to get to the “finish line” most of the time.

We will never know the extent of our capabilities if we don’t push ourselves further.
S H A R E D
I N S P I R A T I O N
In order for us to push a little further, we should think of what we’ve been through and where we are headed. This will give us that extra fuel to continue to paddle towards the goal. When we stop, quit or give up, we limit ourselves on what we can still do. The real fight begins when there is a tug of war between wanting to give up and remaining to be strong. Situations will not always be on our favor but during these times we must keep going. On other situations, when we are about to surrender the fight, miracles happen that draw us to give everything and believe in ourselves and in Him. It is a blessing to discover our other potentials during times of challenges. If there are obstacles, let us work around our endless capabilities and those we could still offer. That way we are able to develop ourselves more and address these circumstances. Ever since I was young, I’ve observed that humans are limitless when it comes to creativity. Creativity helps get through every hurdle. The only thing that can hinder us are our fears. Success comes from not limiting and allowing ourselves to take risks. Overcoming the last hurdle for me is no different from overcoming your first, second, and any other hurdle along the way. There’s nothing that can stop me from achieving my goal because I always work hard for it, I am always dedicated and passionate for success.

Employee Commendation Kudos to Marian Acebedo, CSO, AASP Megamall for her enthusiasm and dedication on her role. Despite the long queue, her accommodation helped relieve the long wait. Hope to have more people like Marian in the Service Industry. - AASP Megamall Client
It is comforting to bring a unit to a service center with excellent customer service. This was proven by Roshell Vanzuela, Site Supervisor of AASP Abreeza when I took my unit for repair. She was responsive, helpful and my problem was resolved, leaving me very satisfied. The excellent service I received from Roshell makes me a happy PMC customer, who will gladly continue to buy products from your store. - AASP Abreeza Client
I commend Jayson Gamilla, Mac Expert from RBG Annex for his warm and accommodating customer service. He was able to install my iPhone’s tempered glass smoothly. More than that, he was very clear in giving simple yet precise instructions on how I could maximize the use of my iPhone. - RBG Annex Client
