hen it comes to how much an ex-boyfriend still loves you, it’s best to let him do the talking. UsWeekly.com reported, “Still something there? Miley Cyrus and ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth officially called it quits almost exactly a year ago in September 2013, but neither has moved on to a serious relationship since. At the time the Australian actor, 24, was seeing his star rise in two hit Hunger Games films as the conflicted Gale Hawthorne, and Cyrus, 21, was in the middle of her craziest year with the release of her album Bangerz, her world tour, and new wild child post-VMAs image. It seemed that the Last Song costars had since moved on from their two year engagement, but in a new interview with Australia’s Sunday Night television show, Cyrus hinted that there will always be something between her and the Paranoia star. ‘I love Liam; Liam loves me,’ she told Sunday Night (via the Daily Mail) of her ex. When asked about her hit ballad “Wrecking Ball,” believed by many to be about Hemsworth, the former Disney star said, ‘It’s about finding yourself. I had to set myself free.’” I understand Miley’s point. Essentially, she’s saying there’s no drama between the two of them. Despite their break-up, all is fine. But the “L” word is very strong and not something I would be admitting to concerning a man who I was no longer dating. Some might think, “We don’t have to date for me to express my love for him.” Ok. If that’s the case, though, where is Liam’s profession of love for Miley? He’s not admitting to the tabloids all of the love he still has for her. And don’t make excuses -- it isn’t because men aren’t as expressive as women. Plenty of men will go heart on their sleeves for the woman they must have. When asked about Liam, all Miley has to say is “I’m fine with Liam. Liam’s fine with me.” Or simply, “no comment.” Until next time... Shine like Platinum!

HEALTH&BEAUTY NATURAL WAYS TO REMOVE CELLULITE Reducing the appearance of cellulite doesn’t have to be costly! Along with a well-balanced diet, follow one of these natural treatments:
COFFEE SCRUB MIX Mix a handful of coffee grounds with 1 – 2 teaspoons each of olive oil and sweet almond oil. Scrub on problem areas while in the shower for 10 minutes. Do twice a week. TORONTO CHEF DOESN’T LET DIABETES DEFINE HER SIVA SWAMINATHAN WAS DIAGNOSED WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES AS AN ADULT EIGHT YEARS AGO...
(NC) Siva Swaminathan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as an adult eight years ago. “It took doctors five months to diagnose me,” she says. “And I didn’t receive enough critical information about diabetes care and management.” The experience taught her that education was key to understanding the disease. After working in the IT field, Siva pursued her dream of becoming a chef. Her passion for cooking started in her hometown in South India where she helped her grandmother prepare meals. Opening the Chezsiva Cooking School in Toronto has allowed her to share her knowledge with others who want to eat healthier, 14 POPNEWS.CA
manage diabetes and other chronic diseases, and lead a healthy life. “A healthy diet and physical activity is very important for better glycemic control,” she says. “Checking my blood sugar before and after meals is a routine, and I also exercise three to four times a week.” Passionate about education, Siva became a volunteer with the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA). In Ontario, the number of people with the disease is expected to grow from 1.46 million to 2.2 million by 2024. She has used her skills to organize and present diabetes information sessions to the public, and to help produce culturally relevant
diabetes information. As one of more than nine million Canadians living with diabetes or prediabetes, Siva supports the CDA’s Diabetes Charter for Canada, which envisions a country where people with diabetes live to their full potential. “The Diabetes Charter for Canada will bring timely diagnosis and valuable diabetes education to Canadians affected by the disease.
