XII OMCC Arrival Information
(from http://lmm.150m.com/docs/airportguide/arriving.html)
Arriving to Puerto Rico is just as arriving to any other city in the United States of America. Puerto Rico is an associated commonwealth of the United States of America. This means that Puerto Rico residents are American citizens and have all the American benefits concerning traveling and immigration purposes. If you are arriving from a flight originated in the United States of America there is no need to go to the US Customs, nor you have to declare any belongings that you have in possession. If you have arrived from a flight originated outside the United States of America, all passengers (including American citizens and other citizens) must check in with the US Customs and with Immigration. To do this, follow the signs once you have left the aircraft. Remember, it is very important that you are carrying all the documents needed to enter Puerto Rico! These may include: birth certificate, passport, driver’s license or permit, visa, or else.
Once at the airport After US Customs and/or Immigration, proceed to the baggage claim area. We advise you to stay close to your group and wait until all of the members have retrieved their belongings. Once you have collected your luggage, proceed towards the grounds transportation exit. For your convenience, we’ll arrange for CENTRO 2010 staff to greet the delegations near the exits, as they arrive. Greeters will display an official sign for easy identification (similar to the image at right). We have designated the patio next to the PR Tourism Airport Office as our meeting point. This patio is located in the first level of Concourse C and has direct access to ground transportation. If by any chance, you miss to find the greeter or get lost during the arrival process, please proceed to the designated meeting point; CENTRO 2010 staff will be available there at all times during arrival day.
