Avista Ásia is the new restaurant at Les Suites at The Cliff Bay [Madeira, Portugal]. The creations of Chef Rui Pinto offer a gastronomic experience that combines techniques and ingredients from Asian cuisine with produce from the island of Madeira.

Tuna, scallops or Madeiran fruits are added to Japanese wagyu, nori or yuzu. Seasonal produce is the highlight in a kitchen where sushi and sashimi are prepared with fish from the island. Korean baby back ribs, king crab, beef dumplings, tempuras and steamed bread made daily are also prepared. The result is tasty, surprising and exquisite. Alongside the Avista Ásia, the cuisine offered by Les Suites at The Cliff Bay also includes the Avista, which offers a Mediterranean menu. This is combined with the concept of ‘comfort food’, where the menu highlights the freshness of the local ingredients. Located on a headland next to Pirates Bay, these restaurants share the same building, differing not only in their menus, but also in the dining area and the separate kitchens. This is an exclusive, beautifully landscaped space. The sky and the Atlantic Ocean in the background blend in with the gardens and architecture of the original house which has been renovated and can be accessed via the Estrada Monumental.

Atum, vieiras ou frutas da ilha da Madeira juntam-se a wagyu japonês, nori ou yuzu. Os produtos da estação ganham destaque numa cozinha onde se prepara sushi e sashimi com peixes da ilha. Também são confecionadas costelas de porco preto com molho agridoce coreano, caranguejo real, dumplings de carne, tempuras e, ainda, pão a vapor feito diariamente. O resultado é saboroso, surpreendente e delicado. A par do Avista Ásia, a oferta gastronómica do Les Suites at The Cliff Bay contempla ainda o Avista que disponibiliza uma carta mediterrânea. Com um conceito de ‘comfort food’, onde a carta evidencia a frescura dos ingredientes locais. Localizados num promontório junto à baía dos Piratas, estes restaurantes partilham o mesmo edifício, diferenciando-se não apenas pelas cartas, mas também pelo espaço e pelas cozinhas separadas.
