“Each journey presents a new opportunity.” – - Anita Duckworth-Bradshaw 2020 has been one of the toughest year for so many us. From the highs and lows of the events which took place in this year, we learned how to master our acts. We are grateful for the grace granted us by Almighty to reach the last month of this incredible year. I want to use this opportunity to thank each and every one for your contribution in making Powerhouse Global Magazine a success – Thank you! When the global crisis began earlier this year, we didn’t know what would become of our work, but by keeping the faith and burning the midnight oils, we made it to the end. In fact, our publication has become a contender in the global market because of your support and our team effort – Thank you once again. Even in the midst of the storm, we did not only made it through, we also launched a sister
publication (Powerhouse Global Stars). This goes to show that life is indeed 90% how we respond to what happens to us. As we prepare to welcome the New Year (2021), let us create time to give thanks to Almighty for the blessings given to us. By cultivating the habit of ‘Thanksgiving’, we open ourselves up for more blessings. I want to urge us to continue to dream and act on those ideas which the Divine has gifted us. Let us allow life to teach us by availing ourselves the opportunity to become good students. I and the entire team are grateful for your support, and we have committed ourselves to delivering quality, informative and life-transforming publications to you. May your light continue to shine in all areas of your endeavours, and may you continue to live in good health for a very long time – You are appreciated. Merry Christmas and A Laughter Filled 2021. Until Soon!

INTERVIEW WITH:
BELLA CRUZ (BC) Bella Cruz is the CEO and Founder of Bella Cruz Enterprises, LLC. She is an international best-selling author, global motivational speaker and an executive coach. PGMAG: Bella, good to have you on today’s interview. BC: It’s wonderful joining you today at Powerhouse Global Magazine Lady Anita Bradshaw! I’m so excited to get the opportunity to interview with you today in England, United Kingdom. PGMAG: I know there are more to your brilliance than what we have mentioned above. Please introduce yourself to our readers. BC: I’m Bella Cruz, an expert in developing leaders, engaging teams and igniting growth. I’m about to launch my new book Accountability Performance: A High Performance Coaching Tool for Leaders to help supervisors create a high trust culture of accountability in the workplace. I’m so excited that the book already made the international best-selling list. I love helping leaders get unstuck and to help them connect with their employees. PGMAG: In the present global challenge due to covid-19, what should people be doing in order to remain relevant and valuable in the marketplace? BC: With COVID-19, change came in suddenly like a tornado and affected the entire world. Now leaders have had to make changes to
their current business models to survive. To do that, they have to shift into a new mindset. The best example that I like to use comes from one of Tony Robbins’ leadership YouTube videos describing change, and I never forget it. He said: What do you do if you’re supposed to take over an island? You burn the boats! Wow! All your current strategies and plans disappear instantly because you have no choice if you want to survive in this scenario. Today in this speed driven world, businesses need to discover new strategies, ideas, learn new skills, adapt a different mindset and do it quickly. Many companies have done this and are now thriving. Consider “burning the boats” if your business gets stuck or you have to make sudden changes to keep your business alive in the marketplace. PGMAG: How would you describe your style of leadership? BC: I’ve made plenty of mistakes when it comes to leadership. I’ve learned what to do from good leaders, from coaching them and also what not to do from watching others. My intentional leadership style is to be and continue to grow as a servant leader. I coach and facilitate many Lean A3 events and work with leaders to help them solve enterprise problems. This includes identifying the current state of their processes, the root causes and why they are having the issues. Servant leadership is very similar because

Then support, influence and help them get to a future state that will help them grow to greater levels of high performance with the goal to build more leaders. I love the quote by John Quincy Adams that says: “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” PGMAG: As a global

PGMAG: Please introduce yourself to our readers. RS: My name is Ragne Sinikas, I live with purpose, I love what I do and I am relentlessly focused on personal growth in order to leave a legacy that is to serve others and leave everything that I touch better than it was before. I am international speaker, author and coach of the change makers. My mission is to empower through education and that is the main reason why I founded the World Women Conference and Awards and Untold Story Foundation. I am driven by social impact and every project I am involved has the touch to it. I believe that pursuing your dreams with a powerful intention and sense of purpose, requires a call from within yourself to activate that desire. The power of presence ignites your capacity to create a remarkable future by transforming that intention into future action. PGMAG: Congratulations on all your achievements. As an advocate for women empowerment, what are some of the measures needed to put in place in order to encourage more women to take up leadership roles? RS: It all starts within. You and me. courage to step into our power and taking the responsibility for our voice and choice. To be empowered is to authentically step into who we are as women, to embrace the feminine and question the very masculine world that we have helped to create. We need to take 100% responsibility for what is happening in our society instead of waiting for someone else to fix it and commit to educating and inspiring future generations in a different way. To do that we must first look at ourselves and understand what it means to be authentic. Who are we really
teammates.

They also, consciously and intentionally, make different choices to make changes in their lives. PGMAG: As a woman who runs several businesses, what are the three important keys to leading a successful team?’ RS: #1. The non-negotiable MUST's: Team must have its own mind and be focused on same outcome / goal Team must believe in each other, the teams goals / products / services Must give each other support especially in the most challenging times Each Individual without finger pointing must have clarity about his or her roles and responsibilities to pull his or her own weight while supporting
The team must establish a method of communication and a decision - making process. Individual coaching / modelling MUST occur on a regular basis Acknowledge individual and team accomplishments. #2. The secret to success is to stay in love. Stay in love gives you the fire to ignite other people, to see inside other people, to have a greater desire to get things done than other people. A person who is not in love doesn’t really feel that kind of excitement that helps them to get a head and to lead others to achieve. I don’t know any other fire any other thing in life that is more accelerating and there’s more positive feeling than love is. I would use the words of Mother Theresa: “ I cannot do what you can. You cannot do what I can do. Together we can do great things”. To lead is to serve. People need to have found themselves, achieved something, and made themselves valuable before they have something to give others. I surround myself with people that fuel my joy and passion. #3. underneath all of the doubts, fears and insecurities? Who do we want to be and what energy do we want to take out into the world? It is this truth that will impact and change our eco-systems because having the courage to bring our whole selves into our leadership has the power the change the world. The Problem is Power, The Solution is Empower “Violence against women will only end when gender equality and the full empowerment of women will be a reality.” So how can we truly empower women? Empowerment is the “can do” factor. It is going from “I cannot” to “I can.” That means creating the network of mentors and supporters that provide the knowledge of HOW someones life can be changed. Whether in poor or rich countries millennial women are empowered through three main practices: Self-awareness or awakening, Experience, and Education. And I want to emphasize that you are not defined by any circumstances neither by your past or present. You must understand that no factor is more important in people’s psychological development and motivation than the value judgement they make about themselves. Your story becomes self fulfilling prophesy. Your daily behaviour is reflecting your deepest beliefs. Your daily beliefs affect your deepest behaviour. Your expectations create your reality. It is incredible important to set the right intentions. Your genetic code is not your destiny. Your daily thinking, emotions, your words, your influences and your performances, in other words your behaviour actually regulate the expression of your genetic code. Low selfesteem puts a ceiling on your potential. People are never able to outperform their self-image. So keep in mind that the value you're placing on yourself is usually the value others are placing on you. 4 recommendations to build your self-image: 1. Guard Your Self-Talk 2. doing something good for someone else. Small insignificant changes when done daily will result stunning results. Who must you become to have the life that you want? PGMAG: If you knew what you know now, what would you do differently? RS: I am so happy to share with you the 5 greatest recommendations I learned from my mentor. In the spirit of helping you scale your fortune, construct a beautiful lifestyle for you and your loved ones and leverage your life in service of many, those are the 5 Specific Tactics that I wish I had learnt from my parents. 1. PERSEVERANCE It is not the most intelligent who wins. It’s the most persistent. Few things can stop a human being obsessed with their vision, devoted to their mission and dedicated to making their vision a reality. 2. OPTIMIZATION The majority of people accept average results. Worldclass leaders are focused on leaving everything they touch finer than they find it. And that’s what makes
them great. 3. Morning Self-Mastery. The leaders of business fully understand that the way you begin your day sets up the caliber of your focus and the quality of your performance. To dominate you absolutely need to learn the daily rituals of a superstar. Once you do, nothing will ever be the same for you. 4. IGNORING CRITICS The stone-throwing of the critics and cynics can take you down. The reality is that the very nature of being a visionary and world-changer means you’ll attract ridicule, jealousy and condemnation. You must continue. At all costs. For the world needs your magic. And all heroes turned their setbacks into stepping stones. 5. DIFFERENTIATION Be original and authentic. To lead your field you absolutely must learn and then master the mechanics of first-class creativity. Fame, fortune and applausecome to those who contribute fresh value to the marketplace. And so I suggest that you disrupt. Or face disruption.
PGMAG: Who would be your ideal lunch date, and what would be the topic of discussion? RS: Robin Sharma. How to live long enough to live forever. PGMAG: How do you create balance amidst your busy schedules? RS: I Honor myself first. I Take time to reflect. I Have daily routines like waking up at 5am and rituals that are nonnegotiable. All above goes to my calendar first and all the rest follows. I ask myself before scheduling something: “How can I add value and what will I learn from this call, meeting etc?” If I can not add value I do not accept the request. The day I stated to manage my focus instead my time, my life changed. PGMAG: What would you say to your younger self?
PGMAG: Thank you for your time.

I also know that our readers would be interested to know more about who you are, and the value that you bring to the world. SA: First of all, thank you for the very kind words. My childhood was spent going back and forth between Kuwait, the United States, and everywhere in between. War zones, many ups and downs, having everything one minute - being a refugee the next - it has been an absolute odyssey! I grew up all over the globe, and elements of many different cities and people, have shaped who I am today. Now, I am grateful to call California my home, but I still spend a great deal of time all over and am always excited to experience more. There are many things that light me up, but one of my core values is problem-solving; I have built a portfolio of brands, projects, a non-profit, books and services around solving problems for others. It brings me immense joy to see those unfolding into what they have become today.
PGMAG: In the current global climate of uncertainty, how important is it for people to cultivate a ‘positive mindset’? SA: Mindset is everything right now. With everyone trying to tell you what to think and how to feel, it is imperative that we stay true to our vision for ourselves and to our purpose. One thing that’s important to remember is that it’s okay to feel; it’s okay to feel what’s happening around us right now, aiming for positivity 24/7 may leave one feeling discouraged with all that’s going on, but confidence in your purpose and pursuit of what you value most will help keep your personal foundation strong, so you can weather the storm of outside influence. All day long media and social media enjoy pushing a

narrative that we should be afraid and unsure of everything; that’s the perfect time to flex your “faith muscle” as I like to call it – stand behind your own mission, and think positively about what you came here to do. If you confidently believe the universe is conspiring in your favour, it surely will. PGMAG: Please tell us about ‘Always A Muse’. SA: I am so delighted to bring this to life! Always A Muse is a thoughtfully designed luxury fashion line made to be ultraflattering for the figure, it solves a number of problems while also being great fun to wear! It is 100% “Slow Fashion” – no big factories, all sustainably sourced materials, generous trade and wages, etc. These are innovative pieces you can feel good about wearing for seasons to come. Somehow, even in 2020, I still see so many problems to be solved for women in fashion, especially in lingerie; I used to think it was a shame that buying a beautiful piece of lingerie often came with a lot of uncomfortable wires or materials that dig into the skin. If you gain or lose a little weight, forget it – you must go shopping again. Some of the most gorgeous items never

get worn because they only fit properly for a short period of time. I knew there had to be a better way. I have been working on a line on ultra-flattering luxury fashion – starting with lingerie – that is not only very sexy, but also very comfortable, wire-free, and more versatile in terms of sizing. I started with lingerie because that’s what we put on first, before anything else! The other clothing will come soon after. The line is called ‘Always A Muse’ and the website is AlwaysAMuse.com, I would be honoured if you’d have a look, add your email to the list, and follow along the journey on social media. PGMAG: As a leader who has accomplished a lot in business despite your experience with war and other adversities, what is your message for those who are struggling with low self-esteem? SA: My unique perspective gives me a major boost in this area… I tend to see all of my experiences as preparations and training for great things. Everything that happens gives me greater wisdom from which to draw as I live my life. When it comes to self-esteem, selftalk is important for me as it relates to how my mind’s eye views my experiences. What
helps is changing my inner narrative, the story in my head, from “why me” to “I’m so grateful for the strength to thrive throughout all of these intense times and experiences” – for me, gratitude is key. I talk about this in-depth in a new book that I am working on right now. PGMAG: Please tell us about this new book. SA: I’m so glad you asked because the topic of mindset is very dear to my heart. I have a couple of new books near completion, but this one is very timely and should be out in 2021. I discovered that many people are aware that they may desire change, or they see the importance of certain thought habits, but rarely does anyone speak on how to effect these changes. I wanted to dive deeper into the process and give others actionable steps to changing the way they think, in order to improve their overall quality of life. It really works I’m living a proof! I have another book I’ve been working on that explores the concept of Conscious Leadership; it details my experiences with various leaders as I examine themes of elevated consciousness in their work, it’s a fascinating

project that may take longer to research, so please follow me on social media and sign up for the newsletter on my website for launch announcements on all my projects. There is info on my website about my last book and where to find that as well. PGMAG: If you knew what you know now, what would you do differently? SA: This may be partially because of my rosy outlook, but I don’t think I would change anything; there are a handful of things I would have perhaps started sooner, but I believe things happen when we are ready, after we learn the lessons we need to learn, if we keep moving forward. Always keep moving forward - like the saying “progress not perfection.” PGMAG: How do you create balance amidst your busy schedules? SA: I schedule my self-care and spiritual practices, meditation, and whatnot, as I would any meeting. Those who know me know that I never miss a meeting and I never miss a workout; each is equally important and of high value to me. There are things that simply do not get to be priority
in my life; I don’t watch TV or get caught up in the drama of spectator sports. There is nothing wrong with those things, but I find I have more time in my day because I eliminate things that are low priority for me, which also helps maintain the balance. PGMAG: Sara, it has been a pleasure to have interviewed you – Thank you for your time. SA: Thank you so very much! It is an honour to share some of my story with your audience and provided some valuable insight on navigating these interesting times. I greatly appreciate the opportunity
and always enjoy aligning with other powerful women, such as yourself. PGMAG: Thank you! Please share your links with our readers. SA: My Personal Site: www. INTERVIEW WITH:
DIEGO F. MAYA (DFM)
Diego F. Maya is the Founder of US Latino Affairs Initiatives. He is a social entrepreneur who has worked tirelessly for the past 20 years to create information platforms for the Spanish community. PGMAG: Diego, it’s such an honour to have you on today’s interview. DFM: Thank you. It is a pleasure to share with you our work for humanity in the East Coast of the United States. PGMAG: AS a leader, what inspired you to set up the United States Latino Affairs Initiatives?
24 DECEMBER 2020
DFM: Born in Colombia South America I was given the opportunity to live in the United States. I am thankful and feel obliged to give back to a place that has permitted me to grow despite the adversities. I look back at this country’s founders and the heroes of this great nation who sacrificed their lives for the freedom my family enjoys so that I could communicate these thoughts freely and comfortably. I feel I owe it to them. I owe it to all the immigrants
PGMAG: There is a wise saying that; out of pain comes purpose. Your story of arriving in the US without your parents at the tender age of nine shows me a man who has worked hard to get to where he is now. Please tell us a little bit about your journey and how it inspired you to become a global leader. DFM: When I share the early part of my life people feel it as a series of painful experiences until I conclude with what I do today. I went to 12 different schools before finishing high school. Raised by a single mother with her siblings, I was exposed to colombian urban life while also sharing 2nd grade with indigenous children, kids from farming and landowner families. At 10 my mother sent me to live in the United States. From twelve years old I moved out and
When facing a challenge I figure out with my mentor’s input what is at stake, then I go back and re-analyze until I feel it is right to take the next step. lived with families of different nationalities residing in the United States: Panamanian, Mexican, Salvadorean, Guatemalan, Puerto Rican, Dominican and even American. In total I set foot in 12 different schools, including one in Germany prior to graduating high school. At 17 I arrived in Princeton, New Jersey the home of Albert Einstein. In 12th grade I wondered what it would be to have a vacation in Tokyo or in Paris as many of my peers would often visit and discuss. I played competitive soccer in New York with an Ecuadorian team, in New Jersey I also played in Jamaican, Nigerian and Hatian teams. Today, upon reflection I can say I’ve lived the longest best vacation ever, a roller coaster of joys including hardships while experiencing cultures and life to become the man who I am today. I married a Slovakian woman, visited her country along with Austria and we have
a son born in the United States along with two daughters born in Colombia. Putting all these experiences together allowed me to genuinely be inspired to work with the Latino community in the east coast of the country. PGMAG: What is your message for those who are struggling to find their voice in a challenged environment? DFM: I would encourage people struggling to stop and take a breather as I have. When facing a challenge I figure out with my mentor’s input what is at stake, then I go back and re-analyze until I feel it is right to take the next step. The difficulties in my life have made me stronger, wiser and a better decision maker providing the circumstances along the way to meet human gems who bring greatness into my life. I took the struggle as my training and part of the process. PGMAG: You did mention the ‘UN’s 17 Goals Of Sustainable Development Agenda’ in your bio. In your capacity as a leader, what are the measures needed to put in place in order to involve your community (Latinos) in the on-going process?

who left everything in their place of origin to create a better life somewhere else, with a brighter future. It is with that gratefulness that I was inspired to create media platforms that construct paths of collaboration, education and progress. I believe that all the cultures in our country can truly learn from one another to create a better world.
www.powerhouseglobalmag.com
DFM: Our Latino community is not aware that most of our families in one way or another live the SDGs. The state of New Jersey houses two million Latinos, just yesterday for the first time I stopped at a juicing shop in a city where the population is 90% hispanic. A lady who was the owner tended the shop, she didn’t speak English, but she knew very well the health benefits of juicing and she understood that large amounts of meat consumption is harmful to our bodies and the climate. Right there she was giving me a lesson on SDG 12, Reduced consumption and production, SDG 13 Climate change. I believe it is necessary to bring reliable information to the people so as to connect diverse communities and provide them engaging educational content. This creates value for government leaders and a bridge to reach population pockets in Mercer, Passaic, Hudson, Union, Essex, Middlesex, Camden, Atlantic, Bergen counties which together have more than a million Spanish speaking residents. Our world is a better place with people understanding what are the SDGs, it is my duty to raise awareness and contextualize global affairs

within our diverse communities in New Jersey. I do this by enabling communication and dialogue lines in the Spanish language with creativity and with platforms such as The Latino Index. PGMAG: The recent US Presidential election revealed the immersed contribution of Latinos in your country. As an influencer in your community, what could be done in order to include more Latinos in decision making in the political arena? DFM: We (Latinos) are fortunate to take part of this beautiful country we call home. Its founding fathers developed a constitution and a government that with leadership has maintained the country as a protagonist in global affairs. My assertion is that we Latinos craft our paths and that through hard work and consistency in all industry sectors we will eventually have our chance. It happened to all immigrants who arrived decades ago and without a doubt I believe it will happen for us too. PGMAG: Please share some insights on the ‘Latino Index’. DFM: The Latino Index is a
digital information resource in Spanish. Think of live video, animation, hard searchable content and graphics all packaged nicely into a hub that is easily distributed via link to Whatsapp, text message, messenger and easily accessible via mobile devices, pcs and laptops. It is the most important communications platform for an area covering 9 million latinos, it is the bridge for state, county, and municipal governments to inform latinos on state level legislation, health, education, human and social services, public safety, transportation, economic opportunity, finance as well as job training, employment and business development. The latino index is extremely relevant for today’s latino in need of social and economic empowerment who could very well live and be in the publication’s coverage area or be an international spanish speaking investor, or perhaps a visitor traveling to our region. PGMAG: What is your message for aspiring leaders? DFM: I believe all of us have what it takes to be leaders. For me it was a matter of digging deep within and coming to grips with my life experiences, the ups and the downs. With help from mentors, I realized
www.powerhouseglobalmag.com
that I have what it takes and that seeking people to open doors that could remain closed is not bad after all. At those crucial points, when one thinks it is over I got up the next morning with faith and continued consistently working on my craft ‘til today where my work reaches 100k people on the average on a weekly basis. PGMAG: What are the top three books that changed your life? DFM: Cien Años de Soledad (100 years of solitude), El Coronel No Tiene Quien le Escriba (No One Writes To The Colonel) both by Gabriel Garcia Marquez - after living so many years in the United States they placed me back to my childhood where I was born igniting my thirst to travel and relive those experiences. The Alchemist also is a top book in my list. PGMAG: If you knew what you know now, what would you do differently? DFM: I would not worry so much about the difficulties we face. Recently, I read in The New York Times about the psychological effects of altruism on the brain. I used to spend so much time worrying,
creating undue stress within and then things worked out anyway. So during the global pandemia I chartered into contributing my knowledge and skills to alleviate financial hardships to those affected by the pandemia and those recently suffering from the natural disaster in Central America. These efforts have collectively and positively occupied my time without lengthy spaces of time to think about my hardships. PGMAG: And finally, what would you say to your younger self? DFM: I would tell Diego, don’t look back, don’t waste time trying to comprehend unfavorable results while there is so much to do. That’s what
I would tell Diego. Fly high Diego, Fly as the biggest flying bird in the world, The Condor. PGMAG: Thank you once again for your time. DFM: It is an honor to be able to humbly share my thoughts, hoping that they help someone in whichever part of their journey they may find themselves. PGMAG: Please share your links with our readers. INTERVIEW WITH:
MARIA SANTIAGO-VALENTINE (MSV) PGMAG: Maria, so good to have you on today’s interview. MSV: Thank you Lady Anita for the privilege of being featured in your prestigious International magazine, and for being able to share a little of myself with your readers. PGMAG: Please briefly introduce yourself to our readers. MSV: Let me start by saying that I am an educator with 26 years of experience. I taught in Puerto Rico, Connecticut and New Jersey, USA. I am currently a Learning Disabilities Consultant and case manager of the Child Study Team since 2014 in a high school in New Jersey. I am an author, an education and environmental justice activist, and a mother of two adult daughters. I am the award winning author of the Book: Bipolar Disorder Etiology and Treatment Overview, available in Amazon. PGMAG: How would you describe your style of leadership? MSV: I am more than a facilitator and coach. In the ALL LADIES LEAGUE NEW JERSEY for BUSINESS NETWORKING Chapter that I shared, I facilitate connections among the members while trying to highlight my members’ superpowers, talents, and achievements. I consider myself a servant leader, since where I model the behaviours I expect from the members

I began to work as a Volunteer Climate Leader locally with Organizing for Action (OFA), a grassroots organization founded by Former President Barack Obama.
PGMAG: You are an advocate for Climate Justice, and you are actively involved in global propagation of this mission. Please tell us about this aspect of your work. MSV: I began my commitment after I was trained personally by Former Vice President Al Gore by his NGO Climate Reality Project in 2017 in Chicago US. Then I began to work as a Volunteer Climate Leader locally with Organizing for Action (OFA), a grassroots organization founded by Former President Barack Obama. I organized events and rallies in New Jersey. In 2017 I created the New Jersey Coalition for Climate Justice that later evolved into the Atlantic Climate Justice Alliance, a legal NGO in July 12, 2020 with the help of other 2 members who are Trustees like me. The mission of our organization has three principles: environmental and climate justice education, humanitarian relief and environmental and social justice
advocacy. I founded a blog the Global Awareness Project for Climate Justice. I am the author of Chapter 24 “Climate Crisis and Education” of the Anthology Climate Abandoned edited by Jill Cody. PGMAG: What are some of the measures needed to support the mental wellbeing of the people we serve?
MSV: First we need to understand the strengths and challenges of the individuals that we manage, and the best way to help them reach their full potential. As leaders we need to listen to the individuals we lead and serve, offer them recognition, praise, encouragement, and support them in areas that might not be
related to the role they have in our organization or business - Leading with firmness and compassion. I have seen those qualities in many supervisors and directors I have worked for. PGMAG: Please share some of your global accomplishments with us. MSV: I am the Chairperson of the ALL LADIES LEAGUE NEW JERSEY for BUSINESS NETWORKING Chapter since May 2020. • June 2020 Appointed as International Co-President of Ufuongo Community Development Project Kenya/ Global Ambassador • July 2020- Iconic Woman Creating a Better World Award – Women • Economic Forum in Bangalore, India. • March 2020 - Nominated for the Global WinTrade Awards for Non-Profit Organizations • November 2020 - Finalist among 400 nominations for the 2020 Global WinTrade Awards • November 2019 – Awarded and Appointed as Honorary

PGMAG: Please talk to us about ‘mindful living’ MSV: ‘Mindful Living’ is to recognize that we have to bring ourselves to the present moment and apply the principles of mindfulness in our lives…To live with simplicity. To use our senses to enjoy and experience what happen to us now. To live in constant gratitude and to pay attention to our surroundings and environment amidst the chaos or busy time we are living.
If I changed the setbacks and the decisions that caused pain to me and others, I would not be the person that I am today. In fact, I needed to experience all of that to be in the space, and to have the mental awareness level that I have now.
MSV: Gratitude, sense of Hope, and Resilience. PGMAG: What is your message for world leaders? MSV: The world leaders are extremely focused into finding solutions for their communities, and I commend them for their fast approach to deal with the global pandemic. Please include the voice and feedback of the communities you are serving. In order to solve their real needs, please listen to their voices, and to use the top down approaches that create legislation, you would need the bottom up approach by bringing the voice of different stakeholders before crafting policies and regulations. Selfcare is also important. To be able to give from ourselves, our mental, emotional and physical well-being needs to be taken care of. One more thing to our
wonderful world leaders, thank you for all that you do. PGMAG: If you knew what you know now, what would you do differently? LYNNE NEWTON
INTERVIEW WITH:
LYNNE NEWTON (LN) PGMAG: Lynne, great to have you on today’s interview. LN: Thank you so much Anita. It's an honor and pleasure to be here. PGMAG: Please introduce yourself to our audience. LN: My name is Lynne Newton and I am a Los Angeles actress, writer and producer of 22 years. I have over 50 film credits and multiple awards. PGMAG: As a Hollywood Filmmaker, what is your message for aspiring actresses/actors? LN: My first message would be to pick one aspect of the entertainment industry that you absolutely love and cannot live without and master that skill. Completely immerse yourself in that area. It could be acting, producing or it could be a boom operator. Once you have mastered that skill, open your mind to learn as much as you can about all aspects of the film industry. Having as much arsenal as possible in your pocket as a full-fledged filmmaker will definitely get you noticed. My other piece of advice is to keep in mind when building relationships with likeminded people throughout your career, that professionalism is everything. Always be the person that everyone wants to work with. I get called back to work with some of the same people over and over
because I always leave the impression that I'm a professional, likable and prepared individual. Keep in mind that people in the film industry know each other and they talk to each other. You never know who you are interacting with on any given set. It could be the next big director who may want to work with you down the line just because you were pleasant to be around. There is no such thing as a small job. You take the work seriously no matter what. You show up on time, do great work and leave knowing you put in at least 130% of your absolute best. Those few traits alone will take you very far in your career. PGMAG: Please tell us about your recent movie, and share some insights on the inspiration behind making such a film. LN: I recently wrote, starred in and produced a short proof-of-concept entitled Enipheres. (enif-fa-rees). Enipheres is a 3000 year old Egyptian warrior who is the main character. This story is a shorter version of the feature entitled Illumination Paradox. Stay tuned for the official trailer coming out soon. My first inspiration is my fascination with ancient Egypt. I have always dreamed of an Egyptian excursion and how I would feel standing in front of the great Pyramids of Giza. The incredible wonder, beauty and richness of the art, history and architecture are so awe inspiring and fascinating to me. There is something so

extraordinary about that culture. They were many years ahead of their time. My 2nd inspiration came from a dear friend of mine who suggested that I do past life regression guided meditations. And when I did, each time I would see visions of myself as an ancient Egypt healer. Hence Enipheres came to light as she is not necessarily a healer of ailments in the script but a healer of humanity. My final inspiration was when I saw Tom Cruise's ‘The Mummy’. I loved seeing a female lead character who was an ancient Egyptian and the main antagonist.
34 DECEMBER 2020
The next step is to present the proof-of-concept of Enipheres to studios in an attempt to get the feature-length version Illumination Paradox financed and produced. PGMAG: As a leader, what are some keys to leading a successful team? LN: I call it the three C's: • Communication • Cooperation • Collaboration Communication: I think it's important to almost over communicate with your team so that you are consistently all on the same page. That's very important when producing projects. Don't be afraid to ask
questions, or ask for what you need. All the other person can say is either a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’. But even more importantly don't be afraid to say what you don't know or have knowledge about. You can always find someone who does have the correct answer. And I always check my tone of voice whether it's verbal or written. I'm conscious to be sure that what I'm saying and how I'm saying it is in an uplifting and positive tone. Cooperation: You have to be able to know how to work with all different types of people from all different backgrounds. There has to be a fluid cohesiveness amongst
www.powerhouseglobalmag.com
My first inspiration is my fascination with ancient Egypt. I have always dreamed of an Egyptian excursion and how I would feel standing in front of the great Pyramids of Giza. whomever you're working with on a project or the whole thing can completely fall apart very quickly. I always make a point to say please and thank you. You have to be very patient and have a good understanding of the dynamics of what makes people work well together. Collaboration: The magic of pulling the right people together for a project is not an easy task, but it does get easier over time as you move through your career. It's really the best when you've worked with a handful of filmmakers for many years and you know their work. If they are flexible and have good work ethic, they will fit in and mold like a chameleon. PGMAG: If you knew what you know now, what would you do differently? LN: Earlier in my career I wish
I had done more wellness checks. By asking questions like, does this make me happy? Am I taking care of myself the way I should be? Do I have a headache because I'm too busy or because I forget to drink water? Is there a restroom at location I'm going to? Should I be resting more? Did I eat today? Do I have water and snacks in the car because I
won’t have a lot of time to eat a full meal today? If you're not paying attention, you can really burn out pretty quickly. It's super important to know when to step back, re access and reevaluate how you are pursuing your career. A compromise between your career and your personal well-being can be a delicate balance. You almost have to be just as passionate

about taking very good care of yourself mentally, physically and spiritually so that you can in turn be the best at what you want to be. It could be just by taking a 3-6 month break from it all just to give yourself time to hit the restart button, decompress and regroup. Make sure you stop and smell the roses and "come up for air" while pursuing your career or you could be missing out on other important aspects of your life. PGMAG: As a global influencer, what is your message for our youth? LN: Go with your instincts, it will never fail you. Always find ways to stand out. Make it so that your essence is undeniable. Write out small attainable goals for yourself and as you check them off, reward yourself for accomplishing those goals. A reward could be something as simple as an ice cream cone or a book you've always wanted, or getting a massage. Be comfortable and content no matter where you are within your journey. Don't get caught up in a materialistic reality. A person who lives in a tiny apartment with a roommate can still achieve the same goals as someone
36 DECEMBER 2020
who lives in a big mansion on a hill. Instead always focus and work on your inner self. Who are you as a person? How will people remember you? Did you make an excellent impression? Always strive to be someone that lifts up and not tear down. Become a magnet of someone who people always want to be around and work with. And I cannot express this enough, please take good care of your health and maintain your wellness. Being healthy is a choice, it's not a given. PGMAG: You started your acting career at the tender age of seven. Looking back on the journey you had made so far, what would you say to your younger self? LN: I would tell myself that everything is in divine time.
Don't even think for one second about what other people think of you. You are one of a kind and possess a uniqueness that no one else has. Truly embrace what makes you different. There is no time limit on when you are supposed to "make it". Your life and your journey will unfold the way it is supposed to. Whether you have success at 25 or 85 it doesn't really matter. There is no need to run yourself into the ground or be down on yourself in an effort to be the most successful or “the best. Learn to slow down and really take it all in. Enjoy what you are doing. If you are proactive, get up everyday
PGMAG: So many people struggle with low self-esteem, and as result of this challenge, they settle for less than they are worth. As someone who has vast experience in dealing with audiences of various sizes, what are some of the tips that could help such individuals? LN: Don't even think for one second about what other people think of you. You are one of a kind and possess a uniqueness that no one else has. Truly embrace what makes you different. A person may think that having a mole on their face makes them unattractive when in fact that attribute could be the one thing that will make them stand out. Keep it in your mind that you have every right to be happy, content and confident just the way you are. You absolutely and unapologetically deserve to have the best of what life has to offer. Be happy in your own skin. PGMAG: What makes you laugh? LN: Honestly I'm a huge Days
of our Lives fan. And the social media forums crack me up! When reading what the fans think of different characters on the show and we are all trying to figure out who we think did what. It's just hilarious!
that will ultimately transform us in a way that will incite positive change. Our world can be a place where everyone thrives joyfully and harmoniously if we choose to make that our purpose.
And Sebastian Maniscalco the stand-up comedian is just hysterical! I have watched everyone of his shows and I am rolling around on the floor from extreme laughter. I love when people talk about their life stories in such a hilarious but relatable way, that you see so much of yourself in them.
PGMAG: Thank you once again for your time.
Recently what has made me smile is the Travis Scott McDonald's action figure. I like being reminded of the feeling that I don't to have to take everything in life so seriously.

LN: I think humanity has to continuously connect with each other on a deep and personal level while putting out the best version of ourselves everyday. We have to strive to lift each other up, be tolerant and do everything with kindness and with empathy. We have a responsibility to collectively place positive and impactful messages out into the universe

SUE MAISANO (SM)
PGMAG: Sue, great to have you on today’s interview. SM: Thank you for having me. And thank you for providing such an amazing platform for change makers! PGMAG: You have an interesting life story which I believe would help our readers. Please kindly introduce yourself and share a brief on your journey. SM: I will try to be brief. My journey started in a poor Chinese farmer’s household where I was born and raised. I was just a small village

girl pretty much never went out of town until college. Generations of my family were tied to the same village. My dad was an elementary school dropout and my mom suffered a strange illness and suicidal thoughts. From an early age I knew I was the only one who could change my own fate. Luckily, I got in one of the top Universities in China as the first one in my family to enter college. In my third year, a crazy dream found me, and that was to come to America for advanced studies in biology. My dream was ridiculed, because like I said I was just a small village girl never been anywhere. No one would have thought this quiet girl would have such a bold and impossible dream. From decision
But the journey was not easy. I slept in underground apartments in Beijing cramped with 15 roommates. I worked really hard in a science lab to get required experience for my major. I was physically and emotionally drained for nearly a whole year, with my future up in the air. I felt like a candle in the wind, it can be blown out at any time. Fortunately, the Universe sent me a kind US professor. Under the most unlikely circumstances, I was interviewed by her and a year later I was under her mentorship in the US… A lot of “miracles” were aligned by the Universe during my journey to the West, and subsequent journey to become a spiritual life and business coach. My journey of coming to the US was the first time I felt the power of the Universe

I knew that I couldn’t have done it by myself… it was the beginning of my awakening journey. PGMAG: Your work focuses on wellness and connecting with one’s higher purpose. Please talk to us about ‘Spiritual Awakening’. SM: My spiritual awakening was initiated when I was working with a business coaching client. I believed in higher purpose and higher dimensions. I believe future possibilities exist already in the now and can be access by our subconscious mind, because to the subconscious mind there is no time. So I guided my client into meditation and had him visualize the sales page he had
no idea yet. To my amazement, he came up with a congruent and emotional copy - He could see every detail on the sales page. Next, we did some exploration on consciousness. He met up with my spirit guide, who reviewed himself as a Tibetan Buddhist monk. My client accompanied my soul and my spirit guide to visit my akashic record. I got to know my two most recent past lives. My spirit guide kept emphasizing that my life’s purpose is to help people get back on track with their lives through the power of meditation. I have never felt such trust in me. It was like you have to do this; you have to use meditation. He was very serious about that, to the point that I felt so hornored yet so humbled. I felt great responsibility. Soon after, I had a soul travel experience. I could no longer ignore the exitance of a higher dimension and how we can use it to benefit our lives. In some moments, I felt the interconnectedness of everything and everyone, it was so beautiful and so emotional. I had the moments of AWE, unconditional love, and deep appreciation for every life form. It’s the best feeling in the world…

making to taking the necessary difficult tests, I had only 3 months to achieve that at the time. My test results came out absolutely horrible, it’s was shameful actually and I am not kidding. I felt the bubble of hope burst. But I burned the ships and made a deal to myself to never regret even if I fail. I made my dream nonnegotiable.

Anyone can choose to awaken spiritually. Our souls are participating in our human experience and are guiding us in life. If we ignore our spiritual side, we will feel disconnected, disharmony, feel being “trapped”. That’s our soul crying out for help. Our soul has enormous knowledge and wisdom accumulated through different incarnations; our soul is our best guidance system! Get out of the way and let it shine! Your life will be filled with peace, gratitude, and unconditional love! You will be living your purpose. PGMAG: It’s a powerful thing to know that our thoughts create our realities. Please touch some light on one of your written piece (The Nature Of Mind Realities) SM: This is such a fantastic topic! One of my favourites! On the sub-particle level, everything is energy that’s pulsating and vibrating. Our conscious participation makes the energy manifest into “solid” matter. The moment we observe something, it materializes into physical reality. If there’s no conscious participation, matter stays in the state of vibrational energy
40 DECEMBER 2020
One of my favourites! On the sub-particle level, everything is energy that’s pulsating and vibrating. Our conscious participation makes the energy manifest into “solid” matter. instead of solid state. Let’s look at an example. Let’s say you go to work during the day and there’s no one at home, no pets, no one looking into your house either. The furniture and everything else as well, inside the house do not exist the way we think they are - They exist as vibrational energies. There’s no table when no one’s looking. The table is vibrating in and out of physical existence. It’s vibrating in a higher dimension. The moment you look at it, it’s “fixed” into the physical plane. Isn’t that interesting! The moment someone observes matter, it materializes into physical reality, appearing the way they always appear to be. This may seem confusing to someone who’s new to the concept, but it is a scientific
discovery. Our conscious participation cocreate reality. Matter occupies space, life events occupy time. Just like matter is being pulled out of higher dimension to take the physical form across space, potential circumstances are being pulled out of higher dimension to manifest as life events across time. So life’s happenings work in a similar way as matter. Future life events exist as possibilities, which possibility is realized to our physical reality is based on how we observe it. Whatever we hold in our thoughts, we are picking that particular future possibility to manifest into reality! The problem is, so many people are afraid of certain bad things happening. By worrying you are paying attention to that horrible potential outcome. The very act of worry is drawing closer the thing that is worried about. What we pay attention to, we feed energy to it. It does not matter if the thought is a negative such as “don’t want”, you are still tuning into the energy of the thing you don’t want. So in a way, there are no negatives. Our thoughts create our reality.
www.powerhouseglobalmag.com
We need to be conscious of what we are thinking of, especially our pestering unconscious thoughts. Thoughts are very powerful. Thoughts are how we create reality. Become conscious of how you think, you will be in the driver seat of your destiny! PGMAG: You talked about ‘Soul-Centred’ business and how it impacts our world. Please explain this further SM: Soul-Centred business is a business that’s attuned to your life’s purpose. I believe everyone on earth has a great purpose to serve, and more
often than not that purpose is to help others. Running a business allows you to help others directly, instead of working through a company or any other third party. So you are serving others more directly. When you serve each individual, go deeper, serve more powerfully! So you go wider and deeper in your service.

serve more people and serve more powerfully. So you see running a business is a spiritual act. Making money is a spiritual act. PGMAG: As a leader, what are some of the steps required to overcome some life traumas? SM: The first step is to become aware. A leader needs to examine their inner self-image. Our success or failure is a faithful reflection of our self-perception. Since our subconscious mind has no concept of time, everything that had happened to us since we were conceived was stored in our permanent memory. Our permanent memory is always running in the background, without our conscious awareness. We are following patterns and prewritten scripts that we are oblivious to, and it can be very detrimental to our business, relationships, or life in general. So the first step is to examine the inner, the selfimage and become aware of our subconscious programming. The second step is to accept. There are traumas from our past. They are stored in the subconscious mind and projected to the current circumstances. Why does the mind project past traumas

It’s for the purpose of resolution. Your current circumstance, life events, or situations may provide a great opportunity to heal those past traumas. Until those traumas are dealt with and healed, they will continue to resurface, seeking a new opportunity of healing. So don’t try to push away those traumas, accept them. Use your current new understanding to dissolve past traumas. Face it, and see it in a new light. Third step, let go. Let go does not equal forget. You will not forget the past “trauma”, the factual part of what had happened remain the same, but the “meaning” of the event changes. You lose the emotional component to
the “trauma”, because it had been “neutralized” when you heal. Once it’s healed, it will not affect you the way it was before, you are fully letting it go and not reacting to it emotionally. PGMAG: Would you agree that what we consume directly affect our overall wellbeing? SM: Absolutely! What we consume not only means exactly what we put in our body such as what we eat and drink, but also what we put in our mind, what our dominate thoughts are. We feed energy to what direct our attention to. So we need to become conscious about our daily choices and understand what we are doing to our body and mind. PGMAG: How important is it for us to align with our ‘Soul’s purpose and what are the benefits to this extraordinary living? SM: Our souls embarked on this journey for a reason, our life’s purpose is to align and fulfil our soul’s purpose. Many people felt lost, they felt that they don’t have a purpose, or they haven’t found their purpose yet. In that case, their “purpose” is to find their soul’s

purpose. When you find your soul’s purpose and align your life to it, you will be able to put life’s challenges into perspective. You will be able to transcend difficulties and see the light in them. In fact, life’s difficulty situations offer the most profound opportunities for personal growth. Aligning to your soul’s purpose gives you a new perspective beyond everyday struggles. Life becomes extraordinary as nothing can disturb you anymore and everything is a lesson.
PGMAG: What are the top three books that changed your life? SM: There are so many books that had influenced me. I felt so blessed that I can stand on the shoulders of giants who had studied their entire life on fascinating topics. We truly are living in the most amazing era. To distil the books into 3 is hard, but I will try my best. Destiny of Souls by Michael Newton. Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz. Answer Cancer by Steve Parkhill.

struggling with low selfesteem? SM: My message for those who are struggling with low selfesteem is to look inwards. Get really excited about who you are, what you have and what can still be yours. Understand that it is OK to feel the low self-esteem, but you also have the option of feeling differently. Imagine that you grew up differently, in an affluent and loving family and there was never criticism, only encouragement and compassion. Imagine that you grew up being accepted every step along the way, no matter

what you did or did not do. What does that feel like? How does that feel in your body? How would you carry yourself around energetically and vibrationally? Tune in to that feel frequently until it becomes your new norm. By doing that you are reprogramming your mind. It does not really matter what

SM: I would want to congratulate my younger self and compliment her on how fabulous she is. Given what she knew back then, she did her best. I know that she did her absolute best! She had shouldered a lot of responsibilities, especially the responsibilities of changing her own fate and that of her families. It was a lot for a young girl to carry but she did it! your past was like, the actual fact does not matter, rather, it’s the memories you have that’s been projected to your here and now that makes all the difference. Simply knowing that you are acting out your past is a good start for change. Deliberately create a new vibration, a new way of being, practice the FEELING of self-confident, the FEELING of high self-esteem. Sending love and deep appreciation to your younger self is another way of dealing with such a challenge. Forgive those in your past who had ever hurt you. INTERVIEW WITH:
AGNES GEORGE (AG) PGMAG: Agnes, welcome to today's interview. AG: Thank you for the opportunity to be featured in Powerhouse Global Magazine. PGMAG: Please tell us a little bit about yourself. AG: I am an entrepreneur, a mother of one son and I have two beautiful grandchildren. I was educated in the Caribbean and attended the University of the West Indies where I became a certified, qualified teacher. I taught for three years but my passion was nursing so following my dream I travelled to the United Kingdom to fulfil the dream and help sick people. My passions are personal development and helping people, so firstly I obtained a certificate in management studies, followed by a first degree in nursing with higher degree, then a Masters degree in the Art of Midwifery. I was promoted to midwifery management, commissioned and managed a neonatal unit, which was highly rewarded and successful. I specialised in training of special care babies born to mothers with diabetes. I had a desire to learn about sickle cell and thalassaemia disease, and I'm now a certified specialist in this area. I have always felt a great calling to serve and reach people globally, having seen the devastation that diabetes causes. I found my purpose and trained to become a certified world class speaker, a certified Neuro Linguistic Practitioner (NLP), a Transformation Coach, a Diabetes Health Strategist, an Empowerment Mentor and certified leadership 46 DECEMBER 2020
trainer. As an entrepreneur I founded the Health & Mental Well Being Company: Preventing Type 2 Diabetes with Agnes George. I believe that everyone has a right to be healthy, and that everyone can achieve and maintain good health through health education and with support from a coach. I believe that we can achieve anything with the right mindset and never allowing our past to influence our future choices. PGMAG: As a leader, what are some of the steps required to remotely support our team at these challenged times?
As a leader, and as a teacher, I like to ask great questions that inspire people to think, and to think deeply. My job is to remove as many barriers to forward momentum as possible. PGMAG: How would you describe your style of leadership? AG: As a leader, and as a teacher, I like to ask great questions that inspire people to think, and to think deeply. My job is to remove as many barriers to forward momentum as possible. I like to communicate clearly and help team members feel better connected. I feel as a great leader one must inspire curiosity, creativity and deep thinking in employees. I find it useful to remember the statement often spuriously attributed to Albert Einstein “what if he had an hour to solve a problem and his life depended on it, he would spend the first 55 minutes determining the proper question to ask. It is not my job as a leader to have all the right answers, but to ask the right questions. Asking
good questions is not an easy task. It requires courage and tact to generate hard questions without sparking defensiveness as well as being open to new ideas. It requires a willingness to listen and follow up. PGMAG: What could be done to support those living with serious health conditions? AG: General support is advised through the government, by using logos, marketing, posters, social media highlighting the importance of social distancing, shielding the people who are at risk to make them COVID secure and enable them to maintain a healthy life. We need to work with the government guidelines to maintain vigilance in hand washing, the mandatory wearing of masks in public and keeping the nation informed through written information, government bulletins and this needs to be driven by information and research from medical scientists. PGMAG: What is your view on diversity and inclusion in the workplace? AG: Diversity and inclusion go hand in hand and this in turn leads to happier, more productive employee. Diversity

AG: In today's society with the changing climate and so much uncertainty placed before us in the world of a pandemic, we can better manage the unpredictability with structured rituals whenever feasible. Schedule open meetings by having everyone share one word to describe their current state of mind, followed by an elaborate sentence. An open dialogue will help people to share their feelings, frustrations, fear of the unknown, uncertainty of financial status with loss of jobs and financial security. People need recognition and good news is exacerbated in these trying times. Leaders must reserve time at the end of each day to provide specific, positive feedback for the good work of their staff. For many employees working at home and communicating through the digital mediums like Zoom, virtual work is necessary to accommodate employees to social distancing government guidelines. One should take into consideration that it is important to be aware of factors that make working virtually a challenge for some people. For many of us adults that didn't grow up with technology, it can still be quite enabling.

and inclusion in the workforce lead to a plethora of benefits, both from an internal and external perspective. By hiring people from diverse backgrounds, nationality's and cultures this brings a fresh array of perspectives to the table and can lead to benefits like better problem solving and increased productivity. Employees and no longer simply looking for a 9-5 job that pays well, they are looking for an organisation where they can grow, feel accepted, challenged and respected with management paying their worth. There should be equal responsibility and personal development as
48 DECEMBER 2020
well as promotions in line with everyone else. A company that embraces diversity will always attract a wide range of candidates who are looking for a progressive place to work. As a result of being sensitive and enabling equal values to staff, companies are more likely to be a cut above the rest with improved reputation. Diversity refers to the trait and characteristics that make people unique whilst exclusion refers to the behaviours and social norms that exclude people and that ensure people feel excluded. If we look at the McKinsey report 2020 it found that companies with greater
gender diversity were 25% more likely to have experienced above average profitability as compared to their counterparts. It is important to invest in management training to help the workforce understand what the companies diversity goals are, why they are important and what is expected of them when they interact with employees. As a leader it is important to make an effort to constantly educate their employees about the efforts of diversity moving people towards understanding and focusing on those people who do not understand why it is important.
AG: I would like to start with a quote by Shannon Alder: “There will always be someone willing to hurt you, put you down, gossip about you, belittle your accomplishments and judge your soul. It is a fact that we all must face. However, if you realise that God is a best friend that stands beside you when others cast stones you will never be afraid, never feel worthless, and never feel alone.” Low self-esteem is characterised by lack of confidence and feeling badly about oneself. People with low self-esteem often feel unlovable, nervous or incompetent according to researchers Morris Rosenberg and Timothy J Owens, authors of ‘Low Self-Esteem People: A Collective Portrait’. The book demonstrates that people with low self-esteem tend to be hypersensitive. Those people have a fragile sense of self that can easily be wounded by others. In today's changing society researchers show that women are believed to find it difficult to maintain their mental and physical health and to keep it in check. We need to stop listening to the
inner critic - the critical inner voice that continuously nags us with a barrage of negative thoughts about ourselves and the people around us. In order to overcome low self-esteem, it is essential that you challenge negative thoughts and stand up to your inner critic - this is a wonderful way to build more confidence in yourself. When we evaluate ourselves based on external achievements, other people’s perceptions and competitions are none of our business. Social media only exacerbates this problem; as people post pictures of perfect moments and shiny achievement, we compare to our tarnished, flawed everyday life. Think of yourself as beautiful and stop comparing yourself to others and think about the type of person you want to be. Be consistent, set goals and take actions that are consistent with your own values. To feel good about yourself it is important to have integrity and to make sure that your actions match your words. PGMAG: What are the top three books that changed your life? AG: The books that I have read that have made a difference to me, are: 1. Unfair Advantage by Robert
T. Kiyosaki 2. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee 3. The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason PGMAG: What would you say to your younger self? AG: Listen to your heart, respect other people's views, help to enrich other people's lives, and to allocate time to have your daily self-care. Stop and take time to smell the Roses. INTERVIEW WITH:
GABRIELE SOMMER (GS) PGMAG: Gabriele, so good to have you on today’s interview. GS: It’s my pleasure to be here with you and have this wonderful interview for your amazing Magazine. PGMAG: How would you describe yourself as a leader? GS: From an early age I was enthusiastic about sports and winning goals. These aspirations made my heart beating faster. I am a very passionate and motivated person. A true leader who loves to solve problems and I give helping hands to others – This is what I am born for! It makes me happy and grateful to see their success and their happiness. Maybe it sounds crazy to you, but I am born like this, with this inner drive and calling. “I love people and I am proud when I can help them to realize their goals” My credo has always been to lead with enthusiasm by showing. PGMAG: You are the Founder of ‘VIP MENTOR’. Please tell us about your organisation. GS: I have been working in this field for the past 25 years. I created my own company at the young age of 27, and built a Sales force with
166 people - This made me a millionaire quicker than I thought. Due to my success story, people started to recognize me as a leader and wanted to know how they too can become wealthy. I learned to lead people successfully, to hold speeches that could give them ideas on how to handle and operate their business and private life successfully. I taught them the importance of ‘self-belief’, and made them to realize that success will not follow them if don’t believe that they are capable of achieving their goals. My success inspired me so much to go on a mission and to inspire and motivate others. I show people how quickly and easily they can learn to trust themselves and follow their inner voice – I call it ‘intuition’. I recognize that their DECEMBER 2020

thoughts creation will lead them into their own personal power… I show them a coaching process which gets them into personal development, and give them the freedom to be who they want to be – This activates their energies on a whole new level. This process awakes their inner Body & Soul. I do this with my gifts and talents which I am born with and have been trained to use. Also, I learned from the best world mentors like: Tony Robbins, Richard Brandler and a lot of other leading experts around the globe.

Through all this profound training and qualifications, I became a much valued advisor, coach and mentor for executives of public personalities from various industries such as: Film, Sports and political arenas. I find a formula where you can reprogram your mindset and set you free from any blockages and fears - you just have to activate and inspire all your energies on all levels of your Body & Soul to awake your inner power. PGMAG: It’s an achievement to be trained and mentored by some of the greats in the industry of personal
development. What are some of the learning experiences for you? GS: I learned that my capacity depends on what I think of myself, and my world is created by how I manage situations through my personality. And also, I learned that my beliefs are what create my realities… With these lessons in mind, I learned to raise my standards and got myself into a “Personal “High Performance State.” *The biggest and easiest lesson I learned is to change my body posture - This you can change in a heartbeat. When you do this, the whole situation becomes different. Think about this!!! How amazing is this?

forever because I lost all in a big drama in the past of my entrepreneur life (You can read about my story in my upcoming book which will be published soon!!!) PGMAG: What is your message for those who are challenged by the current
global crises? GS: Don’t let fear influence your daily outcome and don’t listen to the “News” if they aren’t good enough …haha haha ha … And look for what you can do instead of complaining about your life.

PGMAG: Please tell us a little bit about your experience with the Monks. GS: After a difficult personal stroke of fate, I spent sometimes in a Tibetan monastery to search for a deeper meaning of Life and to come to my true inner potential of my roots. I was there for 5 years in a special circle of 12 other monks directly from the Dalai Lama. They invited me to stay and share their life with them and develop more of my own inner power, (Spirit and Soul), and to have more understanding about my purpose and my destiny. This
was one of my outstanding experiences in my entire Life. I was told that I was a “Lama” in the past Life, and my wisdom is beyond this normal life. They taught me to use my gifts, how to connect to get more out of my inner treasure and how to use it as a talent. They taught me how to stay in harmony and balance in stressful times, and to give my purpose a higher reason to handle life as a masterpiece. They helped me to see Life out of a different angle and awake my full potential. I learned that out of your heart, your inner voice will guide you to your
As an entrepreneur and leader, I had experienced all the up and downs of life and business. This experience has shaped me that I got a very humble and grateful person. The monks showed me, how to live, in harmony with my own vision and spirituality in a material world and in doing so to create a meaningful balance between body, mind, soul. I use this wisdom nowadays for my trainings, coaching and seminars-retreats. PGMAG: What would you say to your younger self? GS: “Stay always tuned and never give up” and be in the right environment to grow and have great “Role Models”. Look how they do and adapt what’s good or try better! 1. Start to believe in you first 2. Teach you to be disciplined and create a habit out of this, that it’s automatically getting a pattern inside you. 3. Powerful Global Women Foundation (Powerhouse Charity) was founded in 20l6 in Nigeria, West Africa, by Lady Anita Duckworth-Bradshaw. The core objective of this organization is to transform the lives of women and children, through various projects centred around the need of the service group. In 20l6 Lady Anita single handedly fed over 400 children as part of “project feed l000 children globally”, and held an empowerment conference for the women. Through this project, so many women have gone to do great things with the knowledge they gained from the event. She recently held a life transforming event for women in Lagos, Nigeria as part of International women’s month celebration 20l8. The turnout was very encouraging. She is working towards supporting more families to keep their children and wards in school through” project back-to-school” starting in September 20l8. We are seeking for global support from individuals and organisations who would love to be a part of this service to humanity.
