Enviornmental Portraits April 7th - 11th
Chris Pinchbeck The environmental portrait is the bread and butter for many commercial photographers outside wedding and portrait studio work. These portraits are published in a variety of ads for corporations, annual reports, employee recognition and community outreach. This course focuses on the skills required to create dynamic, technically clean, efficiently produced portraits of people in their work place. The challenges of mindfully working in a new environment, finding the appropriate camera angle, perspective, addressing background concerns, dynamically posing subjects and utilizing appropriate lighting - all while maintaining an efficient and undisruptive workflow amid business pace - are essential skills we’ll cover during the course. We’ll address the ins and outs, building each image up from the ground, first by showcasing specific examples. From there, we will walk through a number of hands-on, practical setups where as a group we’ll setup and photograph new and challenging environmental portraits in varying situations. The end result will be a fun class with an experiential approach where students gain insight, practical knowledge and skills towards building confidence in commercial environmental portraiture. www.pinchbeckphoto.com

M.Photog.Cr., CPP
Spend the week learning everything there is to know to take your CPP exam and gather your portfolio of images. Learn the technical aspects and lighting techniques required to earn your CPP designation. Put what you learn to the test as you take the exam on the final day. The most significant growth as a photographic artist started when Peter joined his PPA local and state affiliates PPANI and APPI, respectively. The epic transformation was elevated through relationships that he built through strong mentorship and inspiring one-on-one education very similar to the NEIPP experience. Education has always been one of Peter’s key value statements and through this journey he was able to obtain the Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from PPA in several years. Wanting to give back, he began serving as a CPP liaison since 2011 to help educate and elevate the photographic industry. Peter also served on many state affiliate juror panels to help others pursue their goals. Another extremely important value statement is FUN! Making the learning experience fun through fellowship runs deep in Peter’s DNA, which is also very evident in the NEIPP DNA.
