Group stand was offering benefits

Visitors to Optima’s stand at interpack saw technologies covering three main topics to meet today’s manufacturing demands: technology, service and sustainability.

“We have presented highly automated systems, extremely flexible transport systems, turnkey systems including secondary packaging as well as customised service solutions that leave nothing to be desired for the customer,” says Dr Stefan König, managing director of the Optima Group. “In addition, we have showed our customers how they can become a game changer in sustainability.”

The Optima Moduline Smart filling and closing system for cosmetic products was introduced. The company says it sets new standards in terms of space requirements, format flexibility and delivery times by adopting its high-end performance into this mid-range machine.

In terms of sustainability, Optima is focusing on cupand can- shaped packaging, mostly fibre-based packaging for foods and cosmetics, which Optima develops together with partners. In addition, the company demonstrated how to calculate, reduce and possibly offset a product’s carbon footprint and how it is contributing to reducing material, energy and media consumption in the development and utilisation phases of its machines.

Meanwhile, visitors to the Optima Pharma part of the stand saw the new, flexible and modular FillCell machine. The system can fill valuable cell and gene therapeutics, including viral vectors, with maximum product yield. Its transport system without format change parts provides flexible, gentle and safe handling, while numerous digital features increase product and process safety, including, for example, camera systems for monitoring the machine interior and scanning systems for safe changing of format parts.

This provides operators with optimum support and maximises system availability.
