This unit joins the established x-ray range of options that include a space-saving combination x-ray and checkweigher, multi-lane designs, and standalone x-ray machines, all available with either a dipping conveyor, pusher or air blast reject system. For processors of meat and other pumped foods, Fortress also supplies an easyclean x-ray pipeline system.

Marchesini Group’s 1500sq m stand at interpack included about 50 machines that covered sustainability, digital innovation, sterile and aseptic filling, inspection, traceability, tailor-made solutions and services that are designed to meet all the pharmaceutical and beauty industry’s needs.

In the stand-alone and secondary packaging area, the Group demonstrated the new MA 360, a high-speed continuous motion horizontal cartoner for packaging products in cartons with tuck-in or glue closure. This solution can produce up to 400 cartons a minute and completes a range of new cartoners featuring toothed belt main product and carton conveyors, which are proving increasingly popular.

The MA 360 is compact, rugged, reliable and quiet; designed in accordance with GMP standards, it offers complete visibility of the inside of the machine and the production cycle, while ensuring easy operator access. It offers simple size changes while reducing energy use.

Another new feature is the new-concept HMI, with new graphics and functions that ensure ease of use for the operators.
