COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
In 2012 the City of Colorado Springs and the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region partnered to open and operate four outdoor aquatic centers. Our goal was to provide healthy programs and safe swimming for youth, families, adults and seniors. Now in our third year, the partnership continues. We welcome you to enjoy Prospect Lake Beach, Monument Valley, Portal and Wilson Ranch Pools.

Facility Rentals & Groups
Youth groups, workplace parties, and family celebrations are just a few types of occasions celebrated at these outdoor aquatic centers. YMCA lifeguards will be on duty to ensure your group’s safety. Times and dates are subject to availability after regular operating hours. Rates include pool use for up to 50 individuals. Community rooms are available at Prospect Lake Beach and Wilson Ranch Pool. Group Rates Group rates are available for schools, day camps, child care centers and more. Groups must pre-register to qualify for group rate. Cost $3.50 / child $2.00 / adult Attendees 20-75 people (depending on time of day) Time 11:00am-1:00pm (75 max) 1:00pm-3:00pm (50 max)
POOL RULES
SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY
The pool is a great place to have fun and exercise, but the most important priority at the Y is your safety. Specific rules are posted at each aquatic center; however, to ensure your family’s safety please review the general guidelines below. YMCA lifeguards have final discretion regarding pool rules, policies and schedules. Failure to follow rules or lifeguard instructions may result in loss of pool access, passes and/or YMCA membership.
BANDING POLICY
All swimmers under the age of 13 will be required to wear a color coded neck band that designates where they are permitted to swim in the pool. Band color will be determined by a child’s height or they may choose to take a swim test. Due to varying depths of water at our pools, your child’s band color may change from center to center.

Alcohol is not permitted. Food, gum, band-aids, open wounds and beverages in glass containers are not permitted. Shower before entering pool water. If a whistle is blown, STOP, LOOK at the lifeguard and FOLLOW directions. Always walk in pool area. Proper swim attire required, including swim diapers for children who are not potty trained. Inflatable flotation devices are prohibited except for U.S. Coast Guard approved flotation devices. Horseplay, wrestling, roughhousing and foul language are not permitted. Prolonged, competitive and repetitive breath holding is prohibited. Diving is prohibited in pools less than 9 feet deep. Jumping feet first and facing forward is permissible in designated areas only. Be safe in and around water For a more personalized experience, the Y offers private swim lessons to children ages 3 and up. Our instructors will provide one-on-one instruction based on swimming ability. Each session includes four 30-minute lessons. Celebrate your child’s special day at the Y. It’s easy for you and delightfully fun for the kids! YMCA Birthday Parties are created with the interests and expectations of you and your child in mind. Our 2-hour Birthday Parties begin with a skilled and enthusiastic YMCA attendant conducting a pool activity for up to 20 children.
