TRADITIONAL DAY CAMP TWELVE WEEKS SIX LOCATIONS YMCA Day Camp offers children a chance to learn, grow and thrive at six YMCA Family Centers in the Pikes Peak region. Choose one center or have your kids visit all six throughout the summer. Join us for one week or twelve weeks. No matter what your family’s needs are, the Y will give your kids a great summer experience with a focus on character development and skills building in a safe and fun environment.

WELCOME WEEK Campers will have the opportunity to meet Y staff, make new friends and participate in a variety of activities to kick off their summer break. ARTRAGEOUS Campers will spend the week discovering art by participating in many hands-on activities. Artists from Studio 101 will visit camp and inspire new art techniques. SPORTS ARE GREAT Have fun this week playing relays, obstacles courses, sports and more. Test your strength and push yourself to the limit. Campers will enjoy an outing to the bowling alley. EXPLORE THE OUTDOORS Campers will explore the great outdoors and natural habitats that surround them in beautiful Colorado. We will enjoy a day of outdoor fun and camp activities at Camp Shady Brook. MAD SCIENCE Ooey-gooey and messy experiments are all a part of this hands-on summer experience. Camp games and sciencethemed crafts are a part of this weeklong adventure. Campers will go on a hike through Garden of the Gods and learn about the scientific history of this beautiful park. BACKYARD BASH Campers will enjoy the summer sun by having a cookout at Memorial Park and participating in a variety of fun outdoor games and events! WATERMANIA Splash into a week of water play and messy games. Campers will learn basic water safety and enjoy a day of water fun at an outdoor pool.

WILD KINGDOM Escape to the world of the wild. Explore amazing animals through crafts and activities. The National Mill Dog Rescue will visit camp and teach basic pet care. ALL STAR ATHLETES We will give campers an opportunity to learn about different athletes, what it means to be an athlete and participate in athletic events. Campers will visit the Olympic Training Center and tour the facilities. DINOSAURS & THINGS THAT ROAR T-Rex, Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus, Oh my! We will explore the stomping grounds of the great prehistoric animals through fun games and activities. Campers will take an interactive trip to the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park. KEEPING IT GREEN Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. This week is all about the environment. Campers will participate in environmental friendly crafts and projects. Our quest to go green will take us to Bestway Recycling. WACKY WATER WEEK Celebrate friendships and make camp memories by getting messy and playing water games. We will revisit our favorite activities from this summer.

Field trips are subject to change based on weather and availability.

CAMP ADD-ONS Enhance your child’s Day Camp experience with Youth Sports Camp Add-Ons. This is a great opportunity for campers to explore the basics or sharpen their skills in Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Volleyball and Lacrosse. Y Members $30 per week Non-members $30 per week


PROSPECT LAKE BEACH SPECIALTY TWEEN DAY CAMP Being a tween during the summer is a super special time for kids to expand their interests, make new friends and create memories to last a lifetime. Join us for a summer to remember at our camp designed just for Tweens. Campers will have many opportunities to nurture their potential while participating in indoor, outdoor and lake activities every week. SPORTSMANSHIP Campers will have the chance to participate in a variety of individual and team sport activities. We will talk about teamwork, leadership, and team building. We will race our way over to the Olympic Training Center to see how and where our Olympic Athletes train. HERO AND LEADERSHIP Get ready for an adventure of heroic events as we salute our heroes. We will learn about and meet real life super heroes and show them our appreciation for keeping us safe. This will take us on a field trip to the United States Air Force Academy to see where some of our heroes train. LOVING THE GREAT OUTDOORS Campers will enjoy the great outdoors by participating in outdoor activities, team building and leadership games. We will even get the opportunity to have a First Aid training. Everyone will get to venture on a day hike and picnic at Garden of the Gods.

PROSPECT LAKE BEACH DAY CAMP Ages 10-12 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

ARTS OF THE WORLD Campers will learn about artists, art techniques and photography. Artists from Studio 101 will visit camp and inspire new art techniques. WILD ABOUT ANIMALS Campers will learn about all types of animals and their habitats. We will visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo to explore all the animals. SPACED OUT Campers will learn about rockets, planes, astronomy, space and technology. We will take a field trip to learn more about space. AWESOME SCIENCE Campers will participate in a variety of science experiments and learn about the field of science. Put your hard hat on as we learn how the caves were formed at Cave of the Winds. END OF THE SUMMER SPLASH OFF Since we are saying farewell to the summer, campers will participate in fun water games at the Lake and spend time with friends. Campers will take a trip to a local pool.

Y Day Camp is one of the oldest and most trusted camping programs in the country. Our Day Camps provide fun, child-centered activities and opportunities for learning through discovery. Y Day Camps challenge children to grow in imagination, creativity, selfdirected initiative, and leadership.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS 1. Deposits and Late Fees A deposit is required for each session that your child will attend. Each Day Camp session requires a $20 per child deposit. A late fee of $10 will be charged for all camps not registered one week in advance and paid in-full. Deposits and late fees are non-refundable. 2. Remaining Balances Remaining balances are due one week prior to the start of each session. If full payment is not received by the appropriate due date your child’s enrollment may be cancelled. 3. Financial Assistance: The Y’s Annual Community Support Campaign raises money to assist parents who want their children to participate in Day Camp yet cannot afford the fee. Funds are allocated on a

WATER MANIA Campers will participate in a variety of water games, make water crafts and will take a trip to an outdoor pool to get completely drenched!

AGRICULTURE GALORE Campers will discover new ideas about plants, gardening and the science behind agriculture. We will work in the community garden and plant our own plants. We will venture to Garden of the Gods to explore native plant life in the beautiful park.

COLORADO THE BEAUTIFUL Campers will explore the great outdoors and natural habitats that surround them in beautiful Colorado. We will enjoy a day of outdoor fun and camp activities at Camp Shady Brook.

SAVING PLANET EARTH Taking care of planet Earth is very important! This week campers will help keep their planet clean and practice recycling. We will head to Bestway Recycling to see how this process works in everyday life. WILD ABOUT SCIENCE Put your thinking cap on as we explore the wonderful world of experiments and games. This will be a messy and fun week all around. Campers will go to Bear Creek Nature Center to explore different plants and animals. SAYING GOODBYE TO SUMMER As summer comes to an end, campers will say their goodbyes to staff and the new friendships they have gained throughout the summer. We will play our favorite games and have an end of the summer picnic.
