YMCA Summer Day Camps offer enriching activities
where friends are made through group games, sports & fitness, hands-on science, arts & crafts, music and swimming. All activities are based on the weekly camp theme.
SUMMER DAY CAMP TWELVE WEEKS - SIX LOCATIONS Day camps offer children a chance to learn, grow and thrive at six Family Centers in the Pikes Peak region. Choose one center or have your kids visit all six throughout the summer. Join us for one week or twelve weeks. No matter what your family’s needs are, the Y will give your kids a great summer experience with a focus on character development and skills building in a safe and fun environment.
KIDS LOVE US PARENTS TRUST US Summer Day Camp is one of the oldest and most trusted camping programs in the country. Our day camps provide fun, child-centered activities and opportunities for learning through discovery. Day camps challenge children to grow in imagination, creativity, self-directed initiative and leadership.
BUILDING HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY Our activities are designed to give children opportunities for personal growth, increased self-esteem and character development. We reinforce good values and promote relationships, leadership and support of others through the embracement of healthy options in a diverse group setting.

Campers will be active and may get dirty. Please dress your camper appropriately.

WEEKLY THEMES ALOHA SUMMER Say goodbye to the school year and aloha to the best summer ever! Get ready to hula your way through this week of beachy fun! Activities will include sand art, beach ball, kickball and more!
SPORTS OF ALL SORTS Catch, kick, punt and run! It’s going to be sport-a-riffic as we play sports of all sorts! Join in our tournament for a shot at the highly sought-after Y day camp medals!
MAD SCIENCE Put on your safety goggles and lab coat as we gear up for “al-kynes” of fun! Experiments and explosions galore await all of our mad scientists this week!
MOVE IT! All gamers wanted! Join us for this week of games galore! Challenge your brain and your body in daring feats of all kinds. From human-sized board games to out-of-this-world obstacle courses, you are sure to be amazed!
KIDS VS. NATURE Let’s explore the great outdoors as we learn how to survive in different habitats. It’s time to get dirty, do you have what it takes? CREATIVE CAMPERS Let your creativity run wild! Whether it’s painting, drawing, singing, dancing, or acting that you love, this week has it all! “Art” you excited? Because we sure are! SURF & TURF It’s time to slip ‘n slide through this week of wacky water fun! Watch out - it’s time to get soaked! STARS & STRIPES Red, White, & Blue - We salute YOU! Join us for crafts, good times, and our 4th of July cookout as we honor our country.
TRAVEL THROUGH TIME Strap in, sit down, and hold on as we travel through time. Beware of dinosaurs, knights and pirates on this trip! ONCE UPON A TIME [WARP] Take a journey with us into the land of make-believe! We will fight dragons, defend princesses, catch Pokémon and train to be Jedi Knights as we venture into worlds unknown. AROUND THE WORLD IN 5 DAYS Pack your bags and grab your passport - it’s time to travel the world! Join us for a taste of different cultures as we explore new lands. BUMMER END OF SUMMER Let’s get ready for school as we enjoy our favorites from weeks before. Don’t be blue, for it’s not goodbye, it’s see you next summer!

YOUTH SPORTS CAMP
Enhance your child’s Summer Day Camp experience with Youth Sports Camp add-ons. This is a great opportunity for campers to explore the basics or sharpen their skills in Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Volleyball or Lacrosse five days a week. Y Members & Non-Members $50 per week Half day Sports Camp add-ons are offered at Downtown, Garden Ranch and Southeast; full day Sports camp add-ons are offered at Briargate and Tri-Lakes during the Summer Day Camp program from June 12—July 21.
SWIM LESSONS
Y Swim Lesson curriculum focuses on water safety for the beginning swimmer. As students advance, swimming stages will further develop endurance and stamina while increasing technique. This skill-based approach, which begins with critical water safety skills, develops the swimmer as a whole, building confidence and improving swimming skills. Members $25 per week Non-Members $45 per week Lessons will be held Monday—Thursday during the Summer Day Camp program, dates and times will vary by location.

WEEKLY THEMES ART CAMP Let’s get creative while creating new friendships! It’s time to paint, color and collage our way through the week! We will even explore the styles of famous artists. Join us for the YMCA Art Camp Gallery on Friday for all of our artists’ work on display!

SCIENCE CAMP Geology, biology, chemistry, and physics, oh my! Discover the secrets of the earth, the wonders of space and more in this week of hands-on science fun. This week is sure to be the best of the summer, we surely “zinc” so! LET’S BUILD IT Can we build it? YES, we can! Join us for a week of creating and assembling! We will delve into careers like engineering, architecture, and even designing toys. If you like to tinker, build, or are curious about knowing how things are put together, then this camp is for YOU! Our campers will build all sorts of things from roller coasters to bridges and even test their ability to stand up against the elements and more! THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE Here is your child’s chance to compete in all sorts of different sports and challenges! We will play games like minute to win it, obstacles, water relays and so much more! Challenge your friends in fun and abstract games!

With CampMinder, the whole registration process can now be completed within the YMCA website, entirely online. DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS 1. Deposits and Late Fees A deposit is required for each session that your child will attend. Each Day Camp session requires a $20 per child deposit. A late fee of $10 will be charged for all camps not registered two weeks in advance and paid infull. Deposits and late fees are non-refundable. 2. Remaining Balances Remaining balances are due two weeks prior to the start of each session. If full payment is not received by the appropriate due date your child’s enrollment may be cancelled. Payment will be automatically charged to billing method on file. 3. Financial Assistance The Y’s Annual Community Support Campaign raises money to assist parents who want their children to participate in Day Camp yet cannot afford the fee. Funds are allocated on a
first-come-first-served basis. CCCAP is accepted for Summer Day Camps only at approved sites. Please provide your CCCAP Child Care certificate letter at time of registration. 4. Refunds Camp cancellations must be received two weeks prior to the start date. To cancel your registration for any session, complete a Camp cancellation/change form and submit it to your local Y. Vouchers will be given for refunds, less original deposit amount and a $10 processing fee. Deposits are non-refundable and nontransferable. For those paying infull at the time of registration, your paid infull amount includes the deposit required for that particular camp. When requesting a refund, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations after the start of the camp will not be refunded.
