Broken Girl By Nora Guthrie Have you ever hurt so bad the pain you inflicted upon yourself was the only thing making you feel alive? Yes? No? Well I am going to tell you a story, but be prepared because this is a true story. There was a girl; she didn’t know who she was. Her names were: fat, ugly, stupid, and emo. When she looked in the mirror that’s all she ever saw. The only way she felt human was

to take a knife lay it on her wrist and slowly cut the pain away. In middle school is where all this torture had began. She got bullied for being a little over weight. So she went home, went on the internet and looked up ways to lose weight fast. She was willing to do anything! She turned to eating very little meals, then almost immediately puked all of the food up. But what she didn’t know is she was soon to be a rack of bones

wasting away, crying in a corner, pulling at her scared skin thinking it was fat. She saw herself as a worthless piece of oxygen. When the fateful day came, Oct 25 2012, she walked to her best friend’s house to say her last good bye. When she walked in the door her eyes widened! There was a girl lying down on the couch. She smiled and said hello, with only a head nod in response she blushed. They both smiled their first real smile in a very long time. They were happy. They felt alive for the first time. As they began to date they became more in love each and every day. The two are lovers, but most importantly each girl is alive because of the other. They were each other's saviors.
