"PORTRAITS FOR THE HOME FRONT: THE STORY OF ELIZABETH BLACK"
Elizabeth Black left a promising Pittsburgh art career to support American Red Cross efforts during World War II. This one-hour documentary explores Miss Black's Pittsburgh art career and her memorable artwork that is still touching the descendants of WWII veterans today.
The documentary was written, produced and directed by David Solomon. The Elizabeth Black documentary project has been recognized with three Emmy® Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Mid-Atlantic Chapter, as well as the Edward R. Murrow Award and numerous other honors.
There will be no Lifelong Learning on Dec. 23 or 30. Happy holidays from your Lifelong Learning team: Linda Kable, Glen Davis, Sandra Murtiff, Hanley Cox and Pam Braden.
