With the coronavirus wreaking havoc across the world, while we stay safe at our homes with schools and colleges shut, there is a mad dash to compensate for the lost time by introducing various models of online learning and conducting admissions through online process.

With the lack of availability of traditional means of college admissions, students, just like me, were frantic about admissions looking for a silver lining during such catastrophic times. However, online mode of admissions came to our rescue.

I had gone through the similar admission process here in WeSchool. Everything went off without a hitch. I remember calling and sending emails time and again when I had any issue regarding my application and they sorted it out. For my every query, the college administration was prompt and helpful.

My GDPI was scheduled in the morning shift. I received the link few minutes prior to the reporting time. I was nervous as it was going to be my very first interview at an online platform. The process started at the right time. The panel had two college faculties. They briefed me about the whole procedure. It was going to be a two fold process. The first phase was an extempore in which I had to speak on the given topic for five minutes followed by the PI part in which I was asked some general questions about my course preferences and how the current business situation is affected by Coronavirus crisis and few more. This two way interaction went on seamlessly for approximately half an hour. Personally, I had a wonderful experience with the mode, mostly because both the interviewer was pretty cordial.

The entire session was so hassle free, with no waiting in queues for the panel call, unlike the conventional way. We did not have to travel all the way to some other city and get interviewed in unfamiliar surroundings. Sitting in front of a camera enabled screen, on your couch in the formal attire, at your own home, was all it took to make me a part of this eminent institution.

After much fervour and a truck load of anticipation later, we were intimated about the slots for our Online Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The first of its kind owing the prevailing conditions of the pandemic, this came as a welcome excuse to put the pedal to the metal. However, it tagged along with it a strange amalgamation of fear, hope and resolve. On the D Day, I was glued to the laptop much before time, checking on the technical aspects for the smooth transition of the selection process. The interview started sharp at the designated time and I found two enthusiastic and warm panel members waiting for our interaction. Post exchanging pleasantries, I dove right into the topic presented to me for the Extempore. I could feel the comfort and ease of communication since the panel members on the receiving end were quite attentive and pleased. Thereafter, there was a one-to-one discussion with the members on topics of national importance as well as the nitty-gritty of my technical background, motive behind pursuing management education to name a few. Following the interview, we signed off for the day. A couple of days later I found myself to be a part of the WeSchool family after a holistic and wholesome GD&PI experience which marked the beginning of a new phase of life for me. It set me off on a trajectory which would involve the coveted and acclaimed WeSchool advantage tagged with a platform to meet up, collaborate and indulge into the hurdles and achievements hereafter as a collective and diverse family.

Hello everyone! This is Vidhi Rastogi from Farrukhabad district of Uttar-Pradesh - Kanpur being the nearest town. I have pursued Bcom (Hons) from Gargi College, University of Delhi and graduated in 2019. So MBA was something which I always wanted to do for my further studies to get the broader perspective of the corporate world and gain much more professional experience and practical learning. Therefore I appeared for competitive exams and applied for various colleges.

I got to know about Welingkar through one of the social media platforms and then when I gone through the website, I was quite impressed about their curriculum and decided to apply. Also both the campuses are located in amazing cities (Mumbai and Bengaluru) which actually would provide a major advantage to the students. So, after receiving the call letter, I appeared for the GDPI process in Delhi, which was a great experience. There were huge number of applicants and the Panelists were also well qualified and experienced. After which as we all know, Covid-19 hit us and the results got delayed which ultimately led to a sense of impatience and chaos among the students. I remember sending the mails from time to time to get the actual status of the results and every time the college administration was responsive. So by mid of June, our results got declared and I converted for PGDM in E-Business, Bengaluru Campus which was a huge sigh of relief for me. Thereby, now I feel honoured to be a part of such a prestigious college. Though Covid-19 did hit us but still anyhow I managed to be a part of the WeSchool family.

Since because of the current scenario, we cannot be together in the campus but anyhow we will be connecting virtually through online platforms. We had some unofficial interactive sessions with some of our peers and seniors and probably would be starting with the classes soon. So looking forward to connect with the WeSchool family and have amazing events, Fresher’s being the most awaited one.

Let’s hope for the situations to get better and for us to be together in the real world. See you soon We School family.
