Ms. Poornima explained the details of the organization and the work they do. Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) the pioneer in Entrepreneurship for several decades has promoted entrepreneurship in urban, rural, peri-urban in and outside India. Entrepreneurs are not born; they can be made has been proved with micro/Nano enterprises established in different parts of India. Having brought these persons into the World of Entrepreneurship, EDII has felt the need to provide a platform for the networking of Women Entrepreneurs who have established micro-enterprises
Another Panelist for the session was from Accenture Dr. Daniel the speaker highlighted the CSR activities of Accenture and he highlighted the journey and how Accenture invested in the initiative of Ms. Poornima’s venture -WeAct. MS. Poornima also elaborated on the support and guidance of leadership team of We Act, Dr. Raman Gujral. Dr. Gujral explained the strategy used by entrepreneurship development Institute, Ahmedabad.
Leadership Breakfast- Design & Innovation in heavy Engineering Industry:
Prof Mohan Chandra from the department of Business Design introduced the guest speaker for the session. The topic of the session was ‘An Innovation Case study at Tata-Hitachi’.
Mr Monikat Sharma started the session by talking about Hitachi which is a subsidiary of Tata Motors.” Leadership with Trust” a distinct value systems and ethics is derived from Tata company and “Reliable solutions” is drawn from Hitachi: a Japanese quality and technological prowess. He also explained about different product range and their usages, the branches that are established in India, CSR initiatives, mining activities etc.
