GOOD INFLUENCES
One of the method to understanding and memorize regional context of an area is observing from the vehichle, or it usually called as windshield observation, and the one that really interesting in the middle of trip in Purbalingga is how so many river that crossing to this city. It was because Purbalingga located in the high land of the central Java and surrounded by so many of mountains such as Slamet mountain, Dieng mountains, etc.
Regionalism wasn’t only how we implemented regional elements such as tradition and culture, but we also should sensitive to the regional issues. One of the issue that interesting and relate to the airport is about the kids, especially how the Purbalingga kids educated. Basically kids would be fast to understand if they directly experienced, not with the text books. Airport actually is a interesting places to explore, but not all of the kids can get in to the airport because they have no ticket. Then, to accomodate this situation, Jenderal Soedirman Playful Airport designed to be ‘transparant’ so that kids can learn, can look how is airport process going, see how the airplane fly, etc.
River also can be a refreshing object for the airport that having a really hectic atmosphere, also it can be a place that people who waiting for the flight delay can be more relax. This is the reason why Jenderal Soedirman Playful Airport put the river inside of the airport. The river is not only an ornamental object to beautify the interior, but also act as the director for the passangers from the check-in area into departure lounge and passengers that just arrived to the baggage claim. the pattern of the river is not organic anymore, but using the contemporary zig-zag shaped, so that it will not waste much spaces than using the organic pattern.

KIDS AS PASSENGERS Airport is a boring place, especially when the flight delay in many hours. Kids would be really don’t feel good in this situation. They will be crying, running, or playing on gadget. River that put inside of the airport will solve this problem and make them forgot about the time. Because basically children loves to playing water or at least hear the water sound flowing.

RIVER AS CRITICAL REGIONALISM
Purbalingga has so many of the river, especially Serayu river that crossing most part of the city. This is because of the topography condition that located in the highland of the central Java. This situation can be the image for Purbalingga itself that can be remembered by whoever coming to this city. That was why Jenderal Soedirman
Playful Airport try to involving river as a regional aspect inside of the airport terminal. River is not only as the interior object, but also as the director for the passanger. On the other hand, river also act as the entertaining object for the passenger who have to wait for the delayed flight especially for kids which will cry all of the waiting time.

ROOF TRANSFORMATION
FOLLOWING THE RIVER
The shape is following the flow of the river downside the roof itself. The motion of the angle rotation also made as smooth as how water ripple is. The basic shape that rotated is square. This shape is used in consideration of the space uses, there will be much space that can use instead of triangle shape for example. USING GRASSHOPPER
actually, to make those roof frames the squared shapes supposed to rotate one by one with different angle for every modular and it would be really hard yet needs long time to make. So then it made with grasshopper applicaton which can help to make it still in the smooth rotation but don’t need to make it in a long time. To make this roof, basically it use the operation called ‘sweep’. The step is we need to decide the first object, last object, and of course the line that will act as the rail of the object. After that, we need to devide it with ‘perpendicular frame’ operation. Last, after we got the frame, we can make it as the roof frame then make the roof’s envelope.
