Baby Sign Language gives babies the opportunity to communicate long before they can verbalize their wants and needs. Signing with babies accelerates language acquisition, reduces frustration, enhances a child's self esteem, and deepens the bond between parent and child. Fun activities and songs will show how easy it can be to integrate more than 30 signs into your everyday routine and jump-start your child’s verbal skills. Babies are welcome but not required. This Introductory Workshop can be followed by 6-week sessions offered by Happy Baby Signs at other locations with themes like mealtime, animals, colors, family, bedtime, and more! In this caregiver & me visual arts class, toddlers are exposed to a variety of developmentally appropriate material centered experiences. Children and their caregiver will engage with art making through material exploration, play, song, and stories. Participants will have a choice of the type of materials they choose to explore during class with multiple material centered provocations set up each week. This allows participants to express themselves and create their own experiences. Materials include drawing, finger-painting, building, saltdough, sensory items, and more! An adult caregiver must be present at all times to attend this class. Dress to get messy!
