“Mom, I want to learn how to sew!” Sewing is not only fun and creative; but, it is a useful learning skill. Children will learn how to safely thread a needle; draw and cut-out a pattern; and sew their own pieces by hand. Sewing techniques learned in this class: running stitch, slip stitch, how to sew buttons, and more. Children will make glasses/phone cases, bags/sacks, holiday decorations, etc. New Projects introduced each session. Class taught in English. Location: RMCC

Gardening changes and improves children's lives! There are many benefits from gardening for children: 1. Learn more about our earth and the environment. 2. Get fresh air and sunshine. 3. Relaxing and engaging. 4. It builds a sense of confidence. 5. And more. In this class students will learn about: how plants grow, soil and it's importance to plants, how to water plants, different species of plants, and will plant legumes, flowers and other types of seeds. New Baking 101 With Junior Chef

Join us this fall as we provide junior chefs with the tools necessary to create, cook, and learn. Introducing a brand new and exciting session of all things baking! Students may enter with any level of skill and will leave with a working knowledge of important baking processes and confidence that only time and experience can give them. Your junior chef will develop critical life skills, all while making new friends and having a blast! Lab Fee $60 payable to Instructor on first day of class.

Bay Area Chess provides fun learning for beginners and advanced players alike. Our program helps teach sportsmanship and social interaction, while experiencing the magic of chess with both deep and casual demonstrations / analysis. We also have a clear path to tournament play and unmatched end-of-semester rewards! We hope to promote healthy academic habits and transform lives through Chess. Kids will be supervised as they eat their lunch or play as they transition from the minimum day to class.

New Chef It Up Cooking Program

Chef It Up 2 Go is a hands-on cooking class where we use creativity to make fun delicious menu items. From fresh pasta to cupcake decorating kids will have a blast all while learning and preparing and assembling fun foods and drinks. We will teach kids basic cooking skills and techniques such as chopping, mixing, measuring, muddling, rolling all while keeping it entertaining! We will also be teaching kids food safety, knife safety and allergy awareness. These are all life skills that they are learning and will increase their love for cooking! We take great pride in knowing that our classes are fun, safe, educational, creative and inclusive! All products are always 100% peanut & tree nut free.

Participants will use their imagination to create their own spooky designs, building their haunted houses and engineering their own traps with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor.
