Junior Programmers
AGES 5-8
Learn to create your first programs using Scratch Jr.! Discover the power of programming! Learn what computers can do and how powerful they can be. Students will solve puzzles using a block programing language. They will build algorithms using programming fundamentals such as sequencing, conditionals, loops, functions, events and learn debugging as they create their projects. Through interactive “unplugged” activities (without a computer) students will explore computer science concepts eg. the binary number system. Students will engage in discussion and do activities with peers to understand the difference between computer software and hardware.

Fun Art With Scratch
AGES 8-12
Use your magical programming power to create art that you can share with your friends! Students will discover their inner artist! They will be introduced to the Scratch programming language to create several works of art.
Students will build algorithms using programming fundamentals such as sequencing, conditionals, loops, functions, events and learn debugging as they create their projects. Students with prior Scratch programming experience will work on more challenging projects. On the last day, students will present their final project created using the Design Thinking process.

#GAMEMAKER: PROGRAMMING WITH SCRATCH
AGES 8-12
Use your magical programming power to create games that you can share with your friends! During this class, you will be introduced to Scratch programming and build several games: multi-player, artistic creations, multi-level games, and more. If you have previous experience with Scratch, you will work on more challenging projects. On the last day, you will present a game you created using the Design Thinking process.
Location: RMCC no class 11/7, 11/21
Digital Art With Python
AGES 10-13
Start coding in Python, one of the most popular, intuitive, opensource programming languages. Learn how to draw colorful spirals and shapes with Turtle graphics module while creating fun interactive projects using the Repl.it coding environment. This course focuses on the fundamentals of computer programming and computer science concepts. Our lessons are project based so students are engaged and build resilience until they complete each challenge.

MINECRAFT MODDING: LEVEL 1 ONLINE
AGES 9-13
Use the power of coding to create a world in Minecraft never seen before! In this block-based coding course, students will learn how to concentrate on logic and computational thinking to build advanced programming algorithms that tie in with the world of Minecraft. Learn how to mod Minecraft, create stories, build minigames, reconstruct buildings, and turn blocks into gold! Students will have their own private servers to mod as well as the ability to play and collaborate together on a single server. A great addition for students who have taken our Scratch programming course. Materials Needed: PC or Mac & Stable Internet Connection.
