ROLLER SKATING
NEW ROLLER SKATING!
AGE 7-13
WITH ALISON LIBERATORE OF SKATE OPEN SPACES
Alison Liberatore is a Skate IA level 1 certified instructor. She has been working with kids and teens for the past 25 years as a high school teacher, a coach, a referee and a mom. Skate Open Spaces is a new adventure that aims to spread joy and bring communities together through roller skating. This class will focus on basic skating skills, using the Skate IA teaching model. We will cover: basic stride, turning, stopping, bubbles/cruising, and more for those who are ready! The more skills we develop, the more fun we can have! As we skate, we will listen to music, play games, and share the joy of skating. Materials Needed: Long socks. Quad roller skates and protective gear will be provided by Skate Open Spaces. *Protective gear is required, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer (knee and elbow pads, wrist guards and a helmet). Students are also welcome to bring their own skates (inline or quad).
